Yes, it's working good so far.
Next game vs Eagles.
Still waiting to play a "true" scrambling qb and giving him the "balanced" trait to see if they scramble more or less.
"Paranoid" may also work better than pre-patch also

Yeah i really like Default but i feel to arcade when i see just 2 or 3 plays called. Real NFL penalties is 12 per game Avg

But don´t listen to me, i´m a stat freak!

What happens with the third string QB once your weekly game is done? Do you retire player or just keep the character selected all year?

Retire him, the player is still on the team but the user is retired, if that makes sense.

Does anyone know or have gone into a second year of franchise doing this method and making sure that the 3rd stringers we are "retiring" aren't retiring at end of season unintentionally. Just making sure cause going to start my CFM today and would hate to get through and get screwed.

I've uploaded all of my offensive play books. Ive prioritized the run pass ratio for teams to try and direct the cpu into a proper split. Sometimes I've noticed it goes overboard but it's almost always in the favor of what the real life team favors. Example New Orleans will occasionally forget they have a running back. I went off last seasons ratios so as teams come out this year and change I will adjust.

The second prioritizarion was to help the cpu sustain drives. This causes an issue for teams that like to take repeated deep shots but until they patch qb awareness I removed plays with only long developing routes. Teams will still take shots but teams like Arizona that live and die by the deep ball won't play exactly like themselves. But I did this because it makes the cpu a challenge for me and I'd rather see a team go on a 12 play drive against me than see them eat repeated coverage sacks on long developing routes.

If you see something funky with a team let me know via pm and I'll take a look and see if it's something I can adjust. Also if you play a team and notice they aren't targeting someone they should let me know. I've tried to prioritize plays that target their superstars but with players moving around in formations it's hard to predict that in game.

I'll start in on the defensive play books tonight after the FSU game. That shouldn't take long since I'm only removing the zero blitzes and adjusting very little else since we don't have situational defensive calls.

Ok got a second playbook up on PSN. I'm playing the Eagles in my franchise so that was the next team up. First version, so i'm sure like my Rams one there will be kinks.

am I right in thinking this can only be done on offline CFM? Not single player online CFM?

If so, it means me restarting my CFM offline.

Do the custom playbooks make that much of a difference to warrant me starting over??

So I adjusted the CPU's Schemes(vertical offense style) last night and left the PBs default and I could tell a difference.
Played 2 games vs Ravens default Schemes(west coast) and they threw alot of shorter routes.
The 2nd game I changed them to Vertical and Flacco looked like Big Ben, eluding the rush, buying time and hitting the WRs downfield! He gashes me at least 3x maybe more!
I was like WOW! REPLAY THAT!
The WRs were in get Open mode b/c Flacco was looking downfield so long!

So that's good to know we can change the CPU schemes w/o using the 2nd controller trick. Schemes, autosubs, formation subs are working!

Also Im testing if adjusting scrambling qb trait/sense pressure(balanced).

Sidenote:
Reset my Gameplay sliders/Penalties to default in my CFM and I can actually see all the improvements and it's playing better than when I was moving penalty sliders around.
Both teams got penalties called still on default.

The Patch improved penalties, run D on outside runs, qb pocket presence, scrambling(still testing).

I can just change the schemes for all teams and be golden, correct? Dont have to worry about the 2nd controller thing?

Schemes stay when changed?
