No its actually pretty ****ing stupid because the guy compared a perfect blocking play with a blown up play. I can link to TONS of Madden videos that has great blocking up the middle that allows for a big gain.

It's really a dumb comparison to take a perfectly executed run vs a blown up play thats going to happen alot. If people expect perfect impeccable blocking every play for 20 yard gains then they're getting their hopes up because that NEVER happens.

up who said anything about gaining 20 yards every play. where did u even find to the logic to come up with it? RUN blocking in madden is horrible SIMPLE AS THAT. if madden only solution to stopping the run is by letting defenders not get touch then HOUSTON WE HAVE A PROBLEM.

moody should how blocking should be in next gen but he was just showing one play. if u run that inside run play for both games 20 times, i bet u wont get the same results but APF results would look better cause they have run blocking and defending logic at a realistic level where as madden you will see players just not getting touched or bump or anything

Sounds like you already put a stake in 10's heart before even playing it. I understand past frustrations, but I'm thinking 10 is much better and improved than 09.

Every year I hear the same thing. I am sick of it. I am not buying this game until it is up to par. That's it. I can play the demo and know from reviews if anything has changed. From seeing the gameplay vids, it looks pretty much the same to me. I watched the M10 gameplay vids and accidently saw 2k5 vid in a thread that someone posted as a comparison. I thought it was Madden 10 and got excited because the vid had modded current unis. A lot of people did. That was when I realized how far behind this game was and how I will not buy it until it changes. A lot of people need to make the same decision if they ever want to see a better product.

Actually it was the first play I had off the kickoff in both games. By no means am I asking for perfect blocking, but I do expect 1 of 3 blockers to make contact with another player before the play.

As far as the Colts getting over powered, Robinson and Wayne never got touched to be physically overpowered. Ill give you Clark getting pushed down from behind if you want. If we are simulating the NFL here, I expect players to make an effort on the first offensive position of the game.

I showed you the problems, rather than just tell me that I am wrong or how stupid my comparison is. Put down your keyboard and pick up your camera.

I'm not saying Madden doesn't have run blocking problems because I experience them ALL THE TIME. I felt that EA REALLY dropped the ball when they made it so hitting the turbo button = blockers disengaging. BUT at the same time I also get alot of those big plays where everyone picks up their blocks and dont disengage until I run past, where I'm able to find the perfect hole and be one on one with a CB or Safety as the last man and juke/spin/truck past them for a big gain. There's even alot of times where Olinemen will go to that second level and run downfield, throw a quick block on a LB giving me that split second to get by him and then block the safety.

Yes, Madden needs to be able to pick up blockers a bit more and actually get stuffed due to overpowering, but it's not as if blockers NEVER block. If they didn't then even with the RBs skills I wouldn't lead the league in 20+ yard runs every season.

I know that some people are saying that Madden has been the same game every year, but it's not fair to discredit the improvements, especially the ones found in Madden 09 that made next-gen/current-gen Maddens actually playable. Of course Madden 09 had many game play flaws and some has been shown in RMoody's videos, but it is not fair to say that Madden didn't make any improvements when Madden 09 gave next-gen/current-gen Maddens a new life and a foundation for the future.

THIS is exactly what I'm saying, which is also why I made the comment of people seeming to want perfect blocking every play for big gains, because thats all I see around here when run blocking is brought up.

Blocking in Madden 10 on both fronts look AMAZING. ALOT of things (basically everything) about Madden 10 look amazing to me and alot of other people, but then you come here and i may be wrong (but it doesn't seem like it), but every way you turn theres a 2K fanboy discrediting EVERY SINGLE new thing about Madden 10 and harping on things in Madden 09 while linking to videos of perfect 2K plays. Its ridiculous.

From what I've seen most likely, if you're going to bash madden and post those perfect arcady 2K videos and say stuff like "its probably going to be a letdown" or "Why bother buying it", etc, then why are you even here? It's obvious that people who say that have a HUGE bias, so why be on a Madden board?

And if I have to sit through another 10 minute apex video where he pauses every 10 seconds and doesn't even show the complete play afterwards I'm going to scream.

These videos would be a lot better and more convincing if they weren't so patronizing and simply let the evidence speak for itself. As is they come off as being fanboyish.

You are so correct on your statement. Every now and then a game will hiccup and showcase something that wasnt right. One play in no way shape or form should be the decidng factor in saying a game is bad or good.

The only thing is Madden 09 has a ton of videos showcasing very bad AI, animations, Logic, and other aspects of the game. The game is just simply flawed, and not just a little. If you head to you tube right now you will see a ton of videos on a various amount of plays showcasiing very bad game play.

The one video shown here was just one of many that displyed how bad madden 09 was, so to use that argument that one video shouldnt be the decidng factor, doesnt make sense when you we all know at this point in time. I see you responded to me reply with your statement, so I'm thinking that you have set in your mind that I'am a 2k player and not Madden. Then why would you have mentioned 2k when nothing in my post spoke about 2k.

Anyways to clear this with you. I play all football games, and I'm clearly a fan of football games. My most active game of football that I invest my time with is Madden 08 on the PC, and Madden 09 on the PS2.

We all know games have glitches, just some more than others, but even when a game posses glitches it still can be a solid title.

Madden on Last gen, had glitches but still were solid titles.
