I guess I will just avoid topics like these the best I can in the future........ But see, when I say that...I kinda think...hmm this is a Madden forum, I like Madden, why do I have to avoid stuff in a Madden forum ? Why dont the people who dont like Madden, just avoid the whole Madden forum instead of me having to avoid topics in the Madden Forum.....things that make ya go hmmmmm

Just because people critique the game and point out flaws does not mean they hate the game. It can mean they want a better product and are willing to help make that product better by pointing out flaws and suggesting ideas. I'm sorry that you see all these negative posts when you come to the forum, but this is a Madden forum, not a Madden fan club. To keep it plain and simple this is where people come to give/find information on Madden and give/find opinions on Madden and everyone's opinion will not match yours. If you keep this in mind then you won't have to go hmmm the next time you visit.

Now I bought Madden 09 and I had the most fun with it I could. But the basics of football not being abided by frustrated me thoroughly. I'm becoming more pessimistic about Madden's core physics and AI engines. I'm starting to feel like it's impossible for Tiburon's engines to mimick the natural laws of physics and body movement and football realistically. Furthermore, because of all the money EA makes, I think it's impossible for them to care, unless (as someone stated before) they stop profitting from their abominable game.

I would boycott the game, because I feel it should be, but my problem is that I have an annual void for an NFL game. I think a lot of Madden players do and that's one of the reasons EA profits so much.

These EA fat cats don't care if you don't like the game, they don't care if you make a video bashing the core of their gameplay. If you even bought the game and realized you hated it and made a video to manifest it, they're still happy because you impacted their wallets in a nice way. When they see an Apex or an RMoody video they probably say thank you. Disgusting. I'm starting realize why David Ortiz got the hell out.

I think the only way things get any better at EA is an old-fashioned mutiny. Customers and developmental employees.

Exactly. Which is why I simply must boycott this year. I may not be deep into activism, but, there's no way-after watching so many Apex and RMoody vids-that I could live with myself by even attempting to give EA my $60, on the first day of release, this year. I only feel this way about Madden, because Madden is the only franchise that has continually disappointed in a major way since 2006, with better tech no less. I refuse to continue to fund EA, if all I'm paying for is their next BMW. Enough is enough.

Every year I hear the same thing. I am sick of it. I am not buying this game until it is up to par. That's it. I can play the demo and know from reviews if anything has changed. From seeing the gameplay vids, it looks pretty much the same to me. I watched the M10 gameplay vids and accidently saw 2k5 vid in a thread that someone posted as a comparison. I thought it was Madden 10 and got excited because the vid had modded current unis. A lot of people did. That was when I realized how far behind this game was and how I will not buy it until it changes. A lot of people need to make the same decision if they ever want to see a better product.

Madden '10 won't be some groundbreaking realistic football game. All you can hope for is a fun game not an imitation of real life.

A fun game to alot of gamers is NOT real life, but at least competent. At least some decent logic and physics (especially considering the available tech, and money thrown around). If 2K simply covers up their flaws better, then why can't Madden? That's because 2K doesn't simply cover up flaws better, but actually makes a better product.


Point is: You'd have to pay me to buy M10 on day one. Since I'm not rich, my $60 means a helluva lot, period. This is the year I show EA that I'm no longer their sucka. Apex and RMoody can only show us the door, we have to actually NOT walk through it.

Bland!!! Wow those video's are easily the best video's I have seen of a football videos game ever. Could be just that I've always prefered madden over 2k anything. So maybe it might be hard for fans of the other games to see. But to me those video are like night and day o anything Ive ever seen.

I believe someone told me Madden 10 is the same as 09, 08, 07, 06 and I would strongly strongly disagree big time. Just look at all the improvements in the video's. The blocking itself, the pocket callapsing on the qb, the cpu's actually having a running game, the throwing motions, the o-lineman blocking down field and pushing the defenders away from the hole they are trying to create, portis turning upfield after making the catch and picking up extra yards, portis fighting for extra yards with 3-4 defenders on him. Ect.... theres more!

Sadly most of you only want to complain about the negetives and not give credit for all the positives. I see more possitives than negetives and thats why I will enjoy the hell out of this game.

Those are some very damning videos. I've already decided not to buy NCAA this year for the first time in about a decade, but I was planning on picking up Madden. This has me having second thoughts about that as well. I guess I'll have to wait for the demo and see if they've improved the awful blocking and physics enough to warrant a purchase.

Just watch the 2 video's i posted 2 post back and you can clearly see the difference from the video's by the OP (from madden 09) The Line is not 100 % perfect but its waaaaay better compared to 09. Just watch for yourself.

we will see when the demo comes out and on august 14 when the review thread kick in. madden 10 looks great but its plays mediocre from this vid and the other madden 10 vid i seen

Although it is unfair to this Madden team, an overwhelming amount negative criticism is not surprising, for many reasons. Past versions of Madden that have been beyond sorry, (even when 09 turned out to be better than the others, the advertising campaign grossly exagerated = disapointment = anger yet again), old features advertised as new features (surely EAs marketing team doesn't think the consumer THAT stupid? wait...) and of course, the elephant in the room, only ONE NFL game to chose from.

Again, it is not fair, because the team has put a TON of work in 10 this year. They have gone WAY beyond their predecessors. BUT... the negative criticism is to be expected, and skepticism by the consumer is something that EA has earned diligently.

well said. the past comes back to haunt Madden so even tho i do see improvements, THE madden DEMONS are still there lurking inside the gameplay that makes madden look so bland. i believe once the demons are gone then madden will finally have surpassed 2k reputation and become a simulation football game

Looks like Madden to me. Slow, choppy movements. The graphics are really good, but the animations and movement are the same. I watched the APF vids posted and the movements are just far better. The graphics are not, but I actually don't even mind, because the game moves so well. Sports games have to feel alive to be great. This is why NHL09 was sports game of the year.

It does look amazing, but man the animations and overall movement of the game looks so BLAH!

It seems very boring they way they move around the field. UGH!!!!
