17 point 4th quarter led to a come from behind win for them

10 catches by Megatron for around 100...

VERY well played and well called game by them...

I'm finding the only team books that NEVER seem to work are the West Coast ones:

OAK / MIN / PHI / MIA being the main offenders...

Those books still seem to be kind of run / run / pass as the years play out, whereas the other schemes, books and coaches seem to adapt better from season to season...

It remains an "inexact science", but when you pair the right book with the right team / scheme / personnel / HC the gameplay really lights up!

    Like a Christmas tree!
In my 2 CCMs I've been testing, 1 season(Generic PBs) I was 7-5 before starting over Post-Patch 4 w/ my latest set. Now testing another Highend All-Madden/Custom Set and the A.I. is actually better MINUS the PLAYCALLING!!!
Steelers: Run, Run, Pass(the Steeler's won 44-18 anyway
Panthers: Run, Run, Pass( I bounced back, winning 27-17, Cam still had a 109 passer rating)

    Before that,
    Vikings: Run, Run, Pass
Now this happens even moreso(imo) w/ the CPU pinned back on their own 20 or so. So field position makes a difference.

Even though the CPU a.i. seems tuned better( w/ my latest set, they are more consistent on O and D)
I'm 8-1, and I attribute my improved record mostly to the CPUs lack of playcalling.
I can also tell that the CPU is much less aggressive and also seems less adaptive on playcalls. I like the results from the CPU much better w/ a Generic PB or a Legends PB.

Plan on having a Slider update(around Christmas) and finally getting a CCM started that I don't have to reset b/c of CPU issues(using Generics or Legends for more teams).

Don't know why I don't see these wonderful results with the non-team pbs.

      I get pass/pass/pass/pass/pass/pass/run/pass/pass/run/pass/pass/pass/run/pass/pass/pass/pass...etc

Granted, I don't see the run/run/pass pattern repeating itself. Heck, whatever I changed in the All-Pro set I'm trying out - the Browns, led by stud David Gararrd just came out throwing like Richardson was on strike or something.

Really wish I could the wonderful playcalling everyone else seems to be getting and not 80-90% pass.

i havent been following this thread for the last 30 pages or so, but i got similar playcalling with pass heavy generic playbooks. why dont you let the cpu use the run balanced playbook more often? is that solution too simple?

          I've already tried that.

It doesn't matter. I see the same kind of play calling with ANY of the generic playbooks.

Where do I go to set the teams playbooks? I can't seem to figure it out.

thats so strange, for me it works so far.. maybe i havent tested it enough, well see.

btw yesterday i accidently forgot to change the steelers playbook to a generic one, still i got pretty good playcalling from the cpu i dont remember the exact splits but they for sure were passing more than running (i was leading the entire game, maybe thats it?) and kept be guessing.

I started a CCM a couple of weeks ago with whatever sliders you had listed in your thread and through 4 games without changing any of my opponents' playbooks I've been satisfied with the results and CPU playcalling. Perhaps there's some unknown trigger in your sliders that get the CPU to call a better game.

Maybe - or maybe there's a trigger for the bad playcalling.

Who knows. There's been theories about the slider's impact - Run D points vs Pass D points, Run O points vs Pass O points, run reaction vs pass reaction (KingV2k3 shared that last thought with me looking at my sliders vs his and trying to figure out why I've been "immune" to the effects thus far and the workaround gives me bad results).

This is great! Changed a few from pass balanced to balanced tho after playing them and saw they rarely ran the ball. Broncos, Chargers, and Bengals are three I can remember.

Later on in CCM you will want to use the team playbooks. The generics really stink as they pass way too much and a lot of the running plays are done out of the shotgun. They are annoying. I liked them in the first year of CCM but not anymore.

CPU play calling in Play Now and first year CCM remains terrible with team play books IMO.

Forgive me if this has already been asked but I just want to verify.

You simply just plug in a 2nd controller, and before beginning the game, you use the 2nd controller to slide to the opposing team and select the playbook as described in the OP? Then you slide it back to the middle after selecting the playbook and it will keep the playbook you selected?

Also. If you do an online CCM, does this still apply or is the CPU play calling fine in online?
