Re: Is The PS2 Version Of ESPN 2K5 Going To Use The 2K4 Engine?

Well its all a matter opinion, i wont play 1 shooter on xbox or ps2 becasue i cant use a mouse a keyboard. I play alot of FPS wich there are more of them on PC and they are all free. Consdiering i built my pc and it only cost me $1200.00 i am very satisfied.

Oh btw i already stated that sports games/fighters ect are just as good on pc when you buy a ps2 controler for it.

so you guys think because a game was done on xbox it can't be done on ps2...bullwash....splintercell was done for xbox n ported to ps2...no matter the effects...u still have mo-fu-k-in- splinter cell..

      look at alot of games on ps2 n xbox..it ain't that big of a deal..unless u just started playing videogames yesterday....since it's usually those people who are graphic whores....anyone remeber snes & genesis,,nes & atari,3do,sega cd,32x,jaguar,

this topic is bull n i can't see vc only upgrading 2k4's graphics for ps2 n redoing xbox own...because the ps2 is still powerfull as hell....

u can have the same graphics on ps2..without all the vivid effects..n some alliaising...[censored] doesn't bother me...

alot of games on xbox i still rather play on ps2--it's a different feeling.. can't explain.

      need for speed underground

xbox is more ceaner but it ain't nothing that makes me give up on my ps2--it's just like the days of snes n genesis..the snes having a more sophisticated engine...i find i can play the same game on ps2 longer n have more fun n feel more accustomed...damn i can't explain it...!!

but it's bull wash if vc say's that they can only upgrade the 2k4 engine for ps2..this year pure bull.....look at the upcoming gran turismo 4..metal gear 3....def jam vendetta 2
      final fantasy whatever number!!!...driver 3...fight night 2004

You have splinter cell but it is a watered-down version and much uglier version of the game. The ps2 simply cannot do half the things that an xbox can do. The ps2 is not powerful at all, maybe it was in 1999 but not in 2004. None of those games coming out on ps2 interest me except maybe def jam vendetta two and that's coming out on xbox.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

            that was very well put.

erratic, unless you're going to acknowledge that spending thousands of dollars to have a pc and monitor worthy of all these games we'd be playing on it isn't a viable option for many and not a smart one for some that do have the money then you might as well bow down and let us get back on topic. actually you really should either way. I have pretty much 2 jobs that exclusively use the PC and many software packages. the money needed to successfully perform both in terms of hardware and software is still significantly less than what would be needed to get my pc to the point to adequately enjoy playing the games i love on my pc. consoles are cheaper and easier... period.

I like FPS but the PS2 isn't very good for them because the controler joysticks are in bad spots right next to each other in the middle of the controler and the triggers don't feel as good. The Xbox Controller S is a good FPS controller because the joysticks are in good spots and the buttons are accesible right around the right thumbstick. Keyboard and Mouse is good too because you can assign a button to do anything you would ever need to do in the game and the mouse is alot easier to use because it is just point and click so when playing fast pace multiplayer games like Halo or Unreal it is alot easier to follow the opponent to shoot/kill it.

i never said pc gaming was cheap. But this all started becasue someone said get an xbox becasue it has better graphics. Imo thats a stupid reason to get an xbox. Like i said you should buy a console for the games not the graphics.

On another note, i despise the xbox controler, even the tiny one. The white and black buttons are simply out of place imo. I wish they had duel triggers like ps2's L1,L2, R1,R2.

BTW i dont like shoots on any console. A joystick is simply less efficent than a keyboard and mouse imo. But for sports/fighters ect. games its obviously the other way around thats why i baught a ps2 controler for my pc.
