Name me another three time MVP in any sport that isn't in their respective Halls of Fame.

Hell, I'd be surprised if there were any two time MVP winners that weren't in.
In baseball there are a couple off the top of my head that aren't in. Dale Murphy and Roger Maris.

Lets keep in mind that Kurt Warner has bare minimum 2-3 yrs of football left in him. Who's replacing him over there in the near future?

My answer is yes. He's not going to get in on the 1st, and or 3rd go around, but I think he will get in.

He won't have the longevity, but no doubting he's one of the best to ever play the game.

If anyone has a MVP, Superbowl win and Super Bowl MVP they should be in.

He took the Rams from obscurity and brought St. Louis the Greatest Show on Turf. Hall of Famer? Yes.

Re: Kurt Warner, Hall of Fame?

He'll get in, and pretty quick. Especially if he does get an MVP this year. He'll get in for the same reason that he got the nod over Marshal Faulk for those MVP's he already has. The rags to riches story of a bagboy made good looks to good from a PR standpoint for the NFL to pass on.

I ain't saying he's not a good player. I'm just saying he gets put higher than he actually should be in a lot of ways. Provide him with an obscene amount of talent around him and he looks great. Give him an average team and he doesn't. And I mean he looks awful on an average team, not just like a good QB making the best of a bad situation.

And I know about the thumb, but how many years does it take to recover from a thumb injury? It's a bit too coincidental that his thumb finally healed fully several years after it was injured at the exact time he has Boldin, Fitzgerald and now Breaston to throw the ball to and Hightower in the backfeild.

I think he gets in, but I don't think he really should.

He's in. Just as good as Steve Young, Jim Kelly. Longevity is a question mark but in reality he will end up playing almost 10 years (as a real starter) like the two mentioned above.

                    I would vote him in.

I'm not sure about 3-time MVP but I know there is a possible 2-time MVP that might not make the HOF in their sport and that's Steve Nash. In basketball, every eligible player for the HOF that has won an MVP has made the HOF. And those MVP winners who are not eligible right now, 9 times out of 10, will make it when they are eligible.

It seems like Nash and Warner share similar issues.

Nash will make it... They are in a similar light but Warner will make it too. And in both cases the "underdog becoming the best in the league" story will play a large factor (as it should, imo).

Warner has a ring. That changes things big time. If Nash gets a ring, he'll be a shoe in.

I was living in St. Louis when Warner was in his prime and he was as accurate a passer as I've ever seen and that includes Dan Marino. And last week in the game against the Hawks at Qwest Field he looked like the Warner of old, threading passes through the eye of a needle where only his receiver had a chance to catch it.

                              When Warner's healthy he's a 300+ ypg passing machine. I vote yes.

If he puts up really good numbers for 2-3 more years, I say yes.

A solid 10 years in the league, an MVP, and a SB ring should be a lock for the HoF. Throw in his story and you've got an ultra-lock.
