Lucky the judge didn't give him 5 years which was an option he could have gone with if he wanted.

You guys are forgetting...any suspension handed down from the NFL won't begin until after he's out of prison. We're talking more like 4-5 years out of the NFL before he's allowed back in. I'd be shocked if the NFL gives him less than a 1-year suspension, possibly 2.

What a waste. I hope the people who have these large entourages take a warning from this.

Easier said than done. Human nature is human nature man. Who's to say that the large entourage didn't save his life but we don't know about it. Who's to say somebody didn't have plans to do him like they did Taylor but the fact that he had his boys in the crib prevented some idiot from trying. And honestly man if I were down in the deep south and wasn't from there and had all this cash and fame I'd want "my boys" with me also. Also who would have thought that some dog fighting would net him all this trouble. He , as I, would have figured he would have been hit with a fine and got a little probation. I would never thought he would get time. So what's the message? You have a hard day at work and life is beating you hard you get home it's better to punch your wife in the mouth than to kick the dog.

That's true but no one really expected him to get more than what the prosecution was pursuing. Definitely got more than expected.

I think his friends got 2 years as well right? If that's the case, I think it seems pretty much in-line to what I would expect him to receive. Maybe that's just me.

Yeah, that's true. Just saying, he didn't really get lucky in terms of judge; the judge gave harsher than recommended sentences to all involved and didn't give any special treatment so that part was fair.

Don't sell Vick that short man. Dude isn't exactly a straight chump. I think he'd be very capable of handling himself up in there. Besides , they're going to have to make some accommodations for him with his fame and all. If they can do it for crooked cops they BETTER do it for Vick.

I actually don't think the NFL will suspend him, that's me though. No need to punish him twice IMO.
