Vick was locked up with a bunch of other dudes for a long time. I can't blame the man for going to a strip club.

I dont see nothing wrong with this. Someone needs to explain to me why this is not appropriate before his meeting with the Commish.

Vick went out on Monday from what the article said. It not like he went out on Wednesday night. He had the meeting with the commish the next day. We don't even know when they will meet. Plus he been locked up for a long time.

What would be the first thing you did if you was locked up for a long time?

I did not even read the article but the I read the Title. If all he did was go to a strip club after being locked up for months surrounded by dudes and nobody got shot or hurt, then I see no problem with it.

There's nothing wrong with it aside from the money aspect. Does he really have the money to be going to the Strip Club? Isn't he bankrupt or something?

^I think it was AI's treat on getting out of prison.

I'm sort of torn on this. On the one hand, this is presumably one of the first things one might do coming out of prison.

On the other hand, he's engaged, so if he wants a naked lady (and one he can actually do things with) he can always speak with her. But who knows, maybe she wasn't in the mood. I still think AI wanted to treat him.

Shoot, he just got out of prison. Goodell should've made the trip with him.

If I was Goodell I'd be more concerned about the fact that Vick is hanging out with Allen Iverson.

Vick doesn't owe anybody anything, especially those animal rights groups that tried to throw this dude under a bus. Roger Goddell better not make him jump through a bunch of hoops to get back into the league. He did time in prison for his actions. Shouldn't that pay his so-called debt to society?

                            Electrifying.

I just don't believe the Vick you're describing still exists. The guy was nothing special in '06, how can two years of inactivity possibly make him better?

Your second point is also somewhat misleading. Few NFL teams have trouble putting butts in seats as it is. For the few that do, any positive effect on ticket sales would have to be weighed against the negative effect from animal rights groups upon team sponsors.

Mediocre qb + lightning rod for controversy = more trouble than he's worth.
You neglected his 1,039 yards rushing and 8.4 yards per carry (123 carries). Highest total yards rushing he's had, most carries, and 2nd highest yards per carry he's had. I still think he's quite electrifying.

You are right about the 2 years not helping, though.

But about your statement as mediocre QB + lightning rod for controversy: that's why I think the Vikes are such a good fit. They already have mediocre QB's and are going after another in Favre, who is a lightning rod for controversy as well. I just think that Vick fits just as well there as Favre, maybe moreso (with the scrambling factor with AP in the backfield).

He deserved to be thrown under the bus. But like you said,he's paid his debt to society and should be allowed to try to earn a living in the NFL. The biggest hurdle will be the gambling charges not the animal abuse.
