Re: Why does everyone think Michael Vick is a great QB?
2006: 16 games, 2 rushing tds.
Electrifying.
I just don't believe the Vick you're describing still exists. The guy was nothing special in '06, how can two years of inactivity possibly make him better?
Your second point is also somewhat misleading. Few NFL teams have trouble putting butts in seats as it is. For the few that do, any positive effect on ticket sales would have to be weighed against the negative effect from animal rights groups upon team sponsors.
Mediocre qb + lightning rod for controversy = more trouble than he's worth.
I'd like to see your QB get a shot in the NFL. He's pretty amazing.Comment

Re: Michael Vick Discussion Thread
Just heard on BSPNNews that Vick has not yet been reinstated back and no decision has been made yet.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Why does everyone think Michael Vick is a great QB?
I'm sick of seeing thousands of Vick threads, so here's an all-encompassing thread for discussion about him.
Since he's a hot-button issue, I ask that you please refrain from the typical discussions that led to previous Vick threads getting locked.
Thanks.Comment

Re: Michael Vick Discussion Thread
So PFT is reporting that, as others in this thread have said, Vick will be reinstated conditionally, thus allowing him to sign with a team and attend minicamps and practices. Beyond that he will have to serve a four-game suspension, according to the report.
The good news for ESPN this week is that its decision not to devote reporting assets to the Ben Roethlisberger case has allowed it to do some great work regarding the Mike Vick situation.
If I recall, didn't Pacman Jones get a similar deal when he was reinstated? This result seems reasonable to me, anyway, should this report be true.Comment

Re: Michael Vick Discussion Thread
The question now becomes this...
Who does he end up signing with?
I would think SOMEONE would take him in.Originally posted by DaImmaculateONeHow many brothers does Sub-zero running around in his clothing? No one can seem to kill the right one.Comment

Re: Michael Vick Discussion Thread
For some reason Peter King was obsessed with Michael Vick going to Saints a couple months ago. I wanna see him on the Vikings just because they'll never have to pass, just run the option and win by 20 every game.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Michael Vick Discussion Thread
I think the tools are in place to do it there... good O-line, top 3 RB in the league, a versatile playmaker (Harvin) at WR.Originally posted by DaImmaculateONeHow many brothers does Sub-zero running around in his clothing? No one can seem to kill the right one.Comment

Keep that man as far away from the NFC North as possible.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Michael Vick Discussion Thread
The more I think about it, the more Vick on the Redskins makes sense. Snyder loves a big name pick up and, as evidenced by him looking to replace Jason Campbell with a diabetic gunslinger and a rookie, clearly isn't enamored with his current QB.Comment

Re: Michael Vick Discussion Thread
The Bears could use him at WR. Backup QB and WR. It's not a terrible fit, but I still think he'll go elsewhere.#RespectTheCultureComment
