Re: So if Peyton Manning gets injured....
There's no way he plays this month. If the reports about his arm not being strong enough to throw a pass like an average NFL QB, he is probably looking at 6 weeks or so at the earliest.Comment

Re: So if Peyton Manning gets injured....
What i've heard is that his arm strength has been significantly cut down and well, Peyton at his best isn't the strongest arm there is anyways. At some point you gotta shut it down and hope he gets better.
Remember it's also to do with his neck and if he's not 100% he could really aggravate it if he's sacked and lands awkwardly. It's better to be safe than sorry in this situation.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

It matters if you can't throw a pass more than 5 yards.

Re: So if Peyton Manning gets injured....
Doctor on the Texans board I visit always posts about medical stuff going around. Pretty much predicted all of this. Said he wouldn't be surprised if Peyton's career is in jeopardy.
If these reports and uncertainty are real, then I really think he should take a year off and get better, because I don't want to see arguably the best QB of all-time flame out like this.Comment

It's official now: Bill Polian has confirmed that Peyton Manning will not play in the season opener vs. the Texans.
Polian says Manning is out for Week 1

Re: So if Peyton Manning gets injured....
This whole thing has been kind of a downer to watch unfold. Aside from rivals of the Colts, I don't see how anyone can dislike Peyton. He's a great QB (arguably the best ever) and he's one of the faces, if not the face, of the NFL.
I really hope that this doesn't end up being serious and he is able to recover and give us close to the same quality of play that he did before, but it's not looking good.PSN - RedSea_RouchComment

Yeah I definitely wouldn't be surprised if that's the case. Need something more concrete than that to believe it though.Comment

Re: So if Peyton Manning gets injured....
Was this an issue last season as well? If so then I guess my thing is why would he wait until May to get the procedure done and not get it taken care of right after their season ended?#RespectTheCultureComment

But I'm only guessing. Im likely very wrong.

Re: So if Peyton Manning gets injured....
If it comes to be true it would be a shame. As a player I respect Manning's game...I still dislike him but, that would be terrible as what happened with Brady. Manning has a potentially life threatening injury though. Dude hasn't missed a game dating all the way back to college days playing for the Tennessee Vols.
And I'm not even sure he missed games on the college level as well. To just now get that fat contract and have to deal with this must be giving the Colts front office headaches.Originally posted by WatsonTigerOne out of 7 billion, and we still tagged your ***.Comment
