I've never really had a problem with it, but moving it back seems silly to me especially considering how accurate a lot of kickers are under 40 yards.

I'm tired of this "shield" talk when referring to the NFL.

Report: Independent neurologist resigns after RG3 fiasco

The odd story of Robert Griffin III's concussion has taken another strange turn: The independent neurologist who first cleared Griffin to play, then said the next day that Griffin could not play, has reportedly resigned and will no longer work with the NFL going forward.

The odd story of Robert Griffin III’s concussion has taken another strange turn: The independent neurologist who first cleared Griffin to play, then said the next day that Griffin could not play, has reportedly resigned and will no longer work with the NFL going forward.

The Washington Post reports that Dr. Robert N. Kurtzke resigned from the neurological consultant program operated by the NFL and the NFL Players Association. According to the report, Kurtzke will continue to consult with Griffin until he’s fully cleared to return to the field, but otherwise Kurtzke is done working with the NFL.

It’s unclear why Kurtzke has decided to stop working with the NFL, which has said that its reliance on independent neurologists like Kurtzke is an important part of keeping players safe after suffering concussions. But whatever the reasons, it’s a bad look after the situation with Griffin has been thoroughly botched from the beginning.

Cooley said on 980 yesterday that he doesn't think Griffin will be part of the cuts today but would be shocked if Griffin is still on the team by Wednesday.

Not sure what to think of Cooley anymore. His film breakdowns are good. But his public opining for a job with the Skins this training camp was pathetic. Using your gift job from the club to try to get another "gift" job with the club....

Griffin will be there this year because Snyder loves him. If Gruden and Cousins don't win 8-9 games they are both gone and McCloughan will be given the mandate to bring in a coach that can help RGIII. It's another **** show season in Washington.

Meh, didn't think him trying to get a job with the Skins was an issue. Now it would've been one if McCloughan actually did bring him back because that would show that he's just like the other GMs that came before him.

And you think they'll keep Griffin around for another year and "reward" him with his 3rd coach in 4 years? I don't know, I can't see Gruden being canned after only 2 years.

All this going on and Shanahan(Kyle and Mike)are sitting around like "And ya'll thought it was our fault"

We're having the same conversation in two places. You are familiar with the area and know Snyder. He's the only reason Griffin might get another shot with another coach.

Shannahan may have been right about Griffin but he made enough decisions in the pre and post Griffin era to justify his firing.
