Re: NFL Off Topic
Yeah, I don't see the point/upside of benching Kaepernick. It's not something a good coach or a good organization does. I guarantee he is not the type of person who will react well to this. I know damn sure Harbaugh wouldn't have benched him. I'm not big on Kaep as legit long term QB, but you have to at least start him ahead of Gabbert...Comment

Plus Gabbert's record as a starter is 5-22 or something like that . So yeah, they will be better off just starting Kaep

I'm not a fan of Colin. I don't think he is a good QB.
But benching him in favor of...Blaine Gabbert?
Yeah, this ain't gonna end well.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
So, here's some more info on that Kaepernick thing...
So, the story was first broken by a guy named Kyle McLorg, who writes for the Bay Area Sports Guy. So, I checked his Twitter feed, and saw this:
Originally posted by @Kyle_McLorgBASGSource: 49ers were going to do this last week, but decided to wait so that Gabbert could debut against a weak Falcons defense at home.
I'm also reading some stuff about who's actually leaking the info regarding the turmoil in the Niners' locker room. But, I'll leave that alone as it borders on gossip.jWILLComment

Re: NFL Off Topic
Well, that ATL defense better step up and destroy Gabbert. It feels like York and Baalke are feeding this infighting, and they're glad that Kaep is seemingly alienated in that locker room. Problem is, who will the scapegoat be next year? What a cynical way to run an organization.Last edited by dubcity; 11-03-2015, 04:50 AM.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
Kap will get cut in the offseason and we'll get a bunch of nonsense about how he didn't fit Tomsula's offense, the locker room, etc. That will buy Tomsula another season so that Jed doesn't have to own up to his mistake with Harbaugh.
When we go 2-14 next season, Tomsula will get canned. I'm not quite sure yet how Jed will spin that.
Kap may become relevant again if lands with a good organization that can coach him back up. He'll probably have to sit a few years.
The 49ers will become relevant again when York gets out of the way and hires competent football people to run things ... so yeah, that will be awhile.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
I'm not sure if Kaep will ever develop further, but SF is a tire fire. Worse yet, it's of their own doing.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds
