You can say that about this entire season from start to finish. I have a ghoulish notion of the Super Bowl being decided by some extremely bad officiating which will be an embarrassment to the league. That's the only way we see PROPER change.

        Even that won't do it.

Unless the ratings plummet for whatever reason, NFL has no impetus to change.

So, the Colts are 4-0 with 40-year old Matt Hasselbeck starting this year?

Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said officials were wrong on the implementation of a penalty that should've given his team a first down in Sunday's 19-13 win over the 49ers.

At first I thought it was just bad luck but now I am starting to think there is a systemic problem with the officiating.

But the article linked confuses me when it comes to dead vs live ball. I would have thought such a penalty would be considered a dead ball foul, which would wipe the ensuing play resulting in a first and 5. But the article says it was a live ball foul?

Dead ball foul means the foul occurred after the result of the play. So that would tack on penalty yardage after the play, meaning that the play counted.

A live ball foul negates the play that was run, if accepted.

I'll just be waiting for the open letter to Travis Kelce from a "concerned" parent and the criticism for his endzone antics.

Something tells me I will be waiting for a long time.

But it is not always that simple. Aren't there live ball fouls that get tacked on after the play?

If a QB completes a 5 yard pass and the defender hits the QB late, isn't the 15 yards tacked on to the 5 yard play?

Yes, because it's a personal foul.

Right, there are exceptions. I was speaking in generalities.

You will. Kansas City is a legacy AFC club and that kind of stuff is acceptable there.....[emoji850]

I really enjoyed his dancing! But no one will criticize him because he didn't taunt anyone with his dancing and he is not the face of a franchise. At least that's what is being said on facebook.lol

I feel that the Redskins are going to grossly overpay Kirk Cousins after this season if he continues to play like he has been playing. Dude is on fire, but is he really the answer for the Redskins?

No he's not, but Redskins might be trapped into bringing him back. NFC East is a dumpster fire, and winning it is like being the fastest one-legged man.
