Lost in the Lions ****ty season and with what Adrian Peterson is doing is that Megatron is 189 yards from breaking Jerry Rice's season receiving yardage record and if he gets 100 yards next week he'll alone have the record for consecutive 100 yard games. He's tied currently.

Love having the guy on my team.

Looks like Sanchez is done in New York...

Jets coach Rex Ryan benched quarterback Mark Sanchez and will give Greg McElroy his first career start Sunday at home against the San Diego Chargers, sources said.

That contract they gave him was truly a piece of work. They are in such a horrible situation regarding Sanchez cap-wise.

To this day I still don't understanf what they were doing. The cap number next year is 17 and change if he stays on the team. If they convince a team to trade for him, it is still about 9, I believe. Unbelievable.

Thought about starting a thread but with the season nearly over there's no point, anyone watching Road Tested: The Cleveland Browns?

It's on the travel channel, basically an in- season Hard Knocks.

Jerry Rice is hoping that Calvin Johnson gets to the 2,000 yard mark since that's what he was shooting for the year he broke the record.

Rob Parker apologizes for his comments on RG3 last week:

I blew it and I’m sincerely sorry. I completely understand how the issue of race in sports is a sensitive one and needs to be handled with great care. This past Thursday I failed to do that. I believe the intended topic is a worthy one. Robert’s thoughts about being an African-American quarterback and the impact of his phenomenal success have been discussed in other media outlets, as well as among sports fans, particularly those in the African-American community. The failure was in how I chose to discuss it on First Take, and in doing so, turned a productive conversation into a negative one. I regrettably introduced some points that I never should have and I completely understand the strong response to them, including ESPN’s reaction. Perhaps most importantly, the attention my words have brought to one of the best and brightest stars in all of sports is an unintended and troubling result. Robert Griffin III is a talented athlete who not only can do great things on the field, but off the field handles himself in a way we are all taught – with dignity, respect and pride. I’ve contacted his agent with hopes of apologizing to Robert directly. As I reflect on this and move forward, I will take the time to consider how I can continue to tackle difficult, important topics in a much more thoughtful manner.
Little too late for this if you ask me.

**** him and his apology if I can speak candidly.

I was originally coming to post this, but you got me off track a little bit. Anyways.

NFL fined RGIII $10,000 for wearing Adidas gear to his post game interview, in lieu of Nike gear. Pretty sure Adidas will cover the fine(s), he incurs for incidents like this.

Ha, he should wear Nike gear and put the Nike check front and center with a big X over it. Stupid NFL rules. I could see if it was the team fining them, but not the league. Either pay the guys to wear Nike or don't expect them to wear it.

Thought this was an interested fact.

Kansas City hasn't won game started by a QB they drafted since 1987. They have drafted 10 since then.

Rob Parker will return to ESPN after 30 Day Suspension. Why am I not surprised SMFH:

ESPN has announced that Rob Parker will be allowed to return to the air after a 30-day suspension for questioning whether Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III is authentically black because, among other things, Griffin has a white fiancee.
