Yea, today's news is a bit deflating but explains the silence over the last couple days.

All we had heard until today is "positive progress."

I had already assumed his season was over, especially with the type of injury he suffered and how he suffered it as well.

At this point, I’m just waiting to hear if he’ll be able to recover and live a normal life or as close to it before hearing if he’ll play again.

Really feel bad for Shazier. One of the most underrated linebackers in the league.

Like Pack said, his life is the concern at this point rather than his career.

For sure...I can remember often wishing Dallas had a guy like him.

I agree with everyone else. Football should be the absolute last thing we should think about. We just gotta hope he can lead a normal life after this.

I hadn’t even thought about him coming back this season. The news that trickled out since MNF made me believe this was pretty serious.

              I still remember Kevin Everett.

Jacksonville is on pace to be the first team since the 1970 Vikings to finish the season 1st in scoring defense, total defense, passing defense, and sacks.

                    Did they interview anyone else?

Seems like they knew who they wanted before firing the last guy.

Definitely sounds like this has been set up for a while, but I did see one of the insider guys (sorry can't remember who) say they did interview a couple of people today.

Or maybe it went like that scene from Moneyball.

"Kubota. You never played ball, right?"

                        "I played a little T-ball..."

"You're the new head scout. Congratulations."

C'mon, man. It's Cleveland we're talking about. No way they got that in depth. [emoji16]

I saw that patch on Brees’ jersey last night and was wondering what it was. I just assumed it was a team or league thing.

Pretty cool. I also like when they went with the C for captains with stars for how many years.

I like the idea but cannot say I like the look.

I don't know, having a little man on your chest just looks bad.
