They deserved being fired with how they handled the whole Eli thing. Hopefully the G-Men can find some good people to take over.

Feels the same as when Coughlin was let go, considering McAdoo was his right hand man. Obviously, he didn’t have nearly the other stuff needed that Coughlin did and does. Giants are back to where they were before, plus a lot worse off cap wise with the spending spree from the other offseason.

They almost went full Seahawks and invested in defense, ignoring their OL. Problem is, Eli wasn’t Russ and Big Blue defense isn’t the Legion of Boom.

Some bleak years ahead for Giants. Does OBJ stay? Can they even pay him if he wants to?

I feel like we should be talking about what Adam Gase did against the Broncos yesterday with his onside kick up 3 or 4 scores already.

Remember when Greg Schiano’s Bucs went hard on game ending kneel downs? That’s what this reminds me of. Unnecessary competitiveness? Is that a thing? It’s technically legal but it’s not a good look.

Gase has ties to the Broncos, was their OC for a time. Maybe mad he got passed over for their HC job? Kubiak won the SB, though...

I heard it mentioned here last night, then I watched all the highlight shows on various networks and no one gave it hardly a mention.

Seems like it wasn't a big deal for some reason. Everyone was kinda 'meh' on it.

Which is pretty humorous in some ways. Remember when the Patriots were riding roughshod over everyone and blowing teams out like crazy? Everyone in the media went ape crap over that yet, there's not a peep about the Dolphins onside kick.

As a Giants Fan, this is terrible to Allow him to be removed for one game and break his streak, just nonsense.

And on Top of that John Mara the Owner doesn't like how the Franchise took a hit like it did, and he's acting like he had no part in this. Again as a huge Giants fan my whole life, Mara your a liar and allowed this happening, he fired Reese and McAdoo today and used them as scapegoats. Blame your self Mara

It was the Dolphins we were talking about from yesterday against the Broncos not the Chargers.

                    Just clearing that up.

                        Re: NFL Off Topic

McAdoo is just a small zit in the gross acne that the NFL has when it comes to head coaches. The NFL probably has the biggest drought of good coaches in all sports leagues, tbh.

There is only one legit great HC in football right now. Pete Carroll can be great most of the time, but he occasionally has blind spots as a playcaller, as a game manager, and as the guy in charge of game-to-game personnel decisions. Andy Reid can gameplan with the best, but mismanages about three to five games every year. Mike McCarthy is good, but I feel like most of his flaws (playcalling) have been covered up by the greatness of ARod.

But after that, the coaching talent drops the **** off. Like, it's pretty much a cliff. You have a lot of coaches that are successful right now, but are unproven or falter on big stages, like postseason play or primetime games, for example. And then you have a large amount of coaches getting by off reputation alone when they have no business running any coaching aspect of a game. Hue Jackson keeps being referred to as this great coach because he managed to be astoundingly average in Oakland a few years ago. Guess that reputation gave him carte blanch to run Cleveland into the dirt for a few seasons. Chuck Pagano had cancer that one time and beat it, so there's a feel good story, right? Ignore the fact that the best the team has ever been during his reign has been while Bruce Arians was calling the plays while Pagano was resting up. Let's let him waste the talent of a once in a generation QB by being mediocre for a bit.

Then you got the personnel decisions. So many teams this year are signing bad QB's and career journeymen just to get by chasing mediocrity. The AFC East is probably the most baffling in that regard. Ryan Tannehill goes down for the season, and they sign... Jay Cutler?? When they could've just signed Kaepernick? Then Sean McDermott benched Tyrod Taylor IN THE MIDDLE OF A POTENTIAL PLAYOFF SEASON. I bet he's happy now that Tyrod is out with an injury.

And to add the icing on the ****e cake, McAdoofus destroys the Giants organization even further by benching the only QB to beat Tom Brady in a Super Bowl, destroying a streak of starts and losing the locker room even more, for no good reason at all.

It's baffling. At least the NBA has a talent dilution problem to blame for most of the league being largely unwatchable. What's the NFL's excuse? More than half of the league's talent is being wasted by garbage coaches and even worse GM's.

He hates Elway. He thinks he was blackballed by him at one point for a head coaching job.

He and Joseph are good friends so it was either a shot at Elway or he thinks the playoffs might come down to a point differential tie breaker.

What did they do after recovering the kick though? Milk the clock?

Then nothing unsportmanslike about it. They were just aggressively running out the clock.

If they tried to put together a scoring drive then it should be a point of contention.
