I'm glad to see concussions are down. I'd rather be proactive (seeing that 75% of the screenings were false) rather than reactive. I dunno how the players will react to cleats being considered protective equipment though but it's good to see the league actually being serious about these things for once.

I wanna see if this guy can still coach. First returns are no. With the stockpile of draft capital the Raiders have, there’s no excuse why they can’t be turned around sooner then later.
He's never had a franchise QB because he's never wanted a young QB.

Raiders don't need another year of a new QB/coach dynamic, made even worse by it being a rookie QB. Carr is more than talented enough to succeed if he has a team of quality.

Glad i'm not watching that waste of time.

In other off topic stuff, this time from the past. I'm in the midst of watching a game with new Browns coach Freddie Kitchens starting at QB.

Here's one of those great NFL what ifs.

Jerome Bettis was a cast off of the Rams and went to Steelers in '96. The Steelers had inherited Bettis' Rams contract but there was some negotiating done whereby if he rushed for over 1,200 yards he'd automatically become an unrestricted free agent. Well he accomplished that. Bettis obviously stayed in Pittsburgh but he could've conceivably gone anywhere else.

I think the main reason he stayed was because he found a place he was wanted and was a big part of the team's success and the Steelers wanted to keep him around so he was given a 4 year deal that made him the 3rd highest paid RB in the game.

According to Jeff Duncan of NOLA.com, Packers-Bears will open up the 2019 Season to recognize the NFL’s 100th anniversary.

Nice, I hope they wear throwbacks too. It should be a fun opener.

Sounds like Raiders will play at the SF Giants stadium next season, assuming the 49ers approve.

I'm shocked they didn't go the London route sense they seem to want a team there so much

Will Raiders fans still show up or are they mad at them for leaving?

For the bulk of their fans the move is just a different stop on the BART (be it from the airport or as a local)

I'm certainly much more interested in seeing a game at ATT Park than I am in Oakland.

First hearing in the lawsuit Oakland filed is next month iirc.

What’s the difference between seeing them in SF and Oakland? Is it more “safer” over there?

I‘m guessing 49ers might have territory rights and will need to sign off on this, making sure it’s just a temporary measure.

Colosseum is a dump, I imagine any stadium would be better. Not like they don’t already play on a baseball field.

Great news. The whole world thirsty for the first meaningful football in months get's to tune in and watch us smack around those cheese loving chumps for a couple hours. Gonna be a good start to our Super Bowl run next year.
