Great news but UGH, Doug Flutie as the color guy is gonna be rough. I've heard him do NBC Notre Dame games and his analysis is pretty limited. He also has the bad habit of being a little TOO quiet which prompts the PBP guy to push him to say something. Hopefully Tirico will open Flutie up a bit and get some of his personality out there as well. Flutie is a pretty well versed guy what with the well worn road he took throughout his career.

Apparently the Broncos are trying to trade Mark Sanchez.

I wonder if we can get a whole package of hot pockets, or just a single individually wrapped hot pocket. I think I would also settle for a box of Capri Sun.

I would laugh my head off if he's traded to Dallas as i've read they want to have an experienced QB there while Romo is out.

If he's traded it will probably be for a 7th because that's what they gave for him.

If they cut him they get the 7th they traded away back.

Sanchez is done in the NFL.... Denver was the perfect spot for him. Great defense enough weapons to look like he had a clue and he got beat out by a guy I've never heard of. At this point he's barely a serviceable backup and not worth a roster spot as a 3.

He's pretty as **** so maybe he can become an actor....

He's pretty well spoken, he may be able to take Flutie's place alongside of Tirico for the few Thursday games they are doing.

He seems like a good team guy, and that will allow him to hang around the league a good while. Josh McCown, I'm looking at you.

What I posted about Sanchez in Injury thread:

Honestly I wouldnt mind Sanchez for the right price.

He had his best years with the Jets when they had a great defense and run game. Once they lost one he went down in production and has never had both since.

The Eagles didnt have defense and now on the Broncos, they have a sporadic running game.

Minnesota is very similiar to the Jets team he succeeded with.

If I were he Vikings I would definitely consider looking into Kaepernick and Sanchez. I think Shaun Hill is good enough to not suck, which I really think might be all they need to make the playoffs again.

Sanchez was the starter for like 2 seconds here, he lost the job after 3 turnovers in the first two pre-season games. With a rookie first rounder and a 2nd year guy with lots of momentum behind him, he just couldn't afford those mistakes. I think his salary is 4 mil or something like that, which is way too much for a QB3. Unless he takes a tremendous paycut I am sure he will be gone soon.

Not high on Kap. Only time he could throw the ball good is when he had the read option. After the first year of that, defenses read him like a book. Without his legs he is nothing.

And those mistakes are his M.O. Turnovers are the one thing he couldn't do to hold that job, but it's the one thing we know he's always going to do.

He would be an awful fit for a team that will now look to lean on the run game. It's one thing if he's turning the ball over throwing 40 times a game. Throwing 25 and still tossing 2 a game won't cut it.

Why Kaep, who can't beat out a 1st round bust (Gabbert may rewrite his narrative this year though), is considered a "good" option either is just buying in to name value only. These guys have had a good amount of time in the NFL, but can't shake their own mistakes. At a point we have to just accept the glimpses of success were just blips and their wildly frustrating play is more their baseline than not.

Hill is no world beater, don't get me wrong. He's never been a full season starter and there's a reason why. But I see him as serviceable, a backup plan in the case of injury like this. He's not Teddy no matter what your opinion of Teddy is. He's just the best contingency plan the Vikings have and a solid enough one to maybe keep them afloat and competitive. Good enough to not warrant throwing away a draft pick for a dude who isn't better no matter the name recognition.

Out of all the options, Kap has proven performance at a higher level than any alternative I can think of. I can't think of another guy they could get who is still in his 20s, led a team to a Superbowl, multiple seasons of 90+ QBR, and due to just serendipitous timing his stock as about as low as it ever will be, ripe to be traded for as cheap as possible.

Norv Turner could work with him much like Harbaugh did, and the Vikings (run game and defense) could give him the platform to regain his 2012-2013 form.

I honestly think Sanchez sucks. I'm really not sure Sanchez is an upgrade at this point. I think for a team like Minnesota you need a guy who isn't gonna be a turnover machine and can handoff and run play-action.

I am definitely very curious to see who they decide gives them the best chance to win.

Why not bring in Vick if you're going to consider Sanchez?

Could argue he'd be a better fit than Sanchez, if it's down to those two.

I concur, he's already auditioned enough times to become a NFL QB.
