Cheap shot low blows. There’s zero relation between Reid’s sons problems and Tyreek Hill’s problems. Who the hell draws that conclusion?!

Him blaming the internet/social media for any deserved blowback is classic blame shifting.

He said it, he meant it, and he’s wrong. Be a man and own it. Or maybe his parents didn’t discipline him enough to do that? Ridiculous.

I didn't see that conclusion be made?

He compared two similar scenario's and his conclusion was that Reid isn't good at fixing people. Not that one had anything to do with the other.

He elaborated, but he brought up both... he’s trying to show a pattern. Maybe not draw exact comparison but he’s trying to mount some sort of evidence.

The only pattern he’s shown me is that Reid is empathetic, maybe to a fault. Fix people? I don’t think he believes he can do that. Give guys who’ve made mistakes another chance? Absolutely.

If you’re in a position where you can give people a job, help, etc it comes with the potential that those people are going to fail. Pinning those independent failures on the guy who was kind, empathetic and maybe even gullible enough to extend that hand doesn’t feel right to me.

He lists off the guys who haven’t worked out and notes there’s others who didn’t make the headlines. What about the success stories? Those don’t make the headlines either.

Reid is a beloved coach. I bet most of his players and staff would run through a brick wall for him. He’s had very long term stays in two football crazy towns (Philadelphia and Kansas City) and even here in Philly he is beloved despite never getting over the hump. That ain’t easy. These are the things that will stick out to me and be retold when Reid isn’t around in the NFL or on this Earth anymore. Not that some of the guys he gave a second or third chance failed. That failure rests on those people, not on Reid.

I don’t get how this guy can say these things about Reid whole simultaneously talking about his work with parents of teens who’ve gone through suicide. He mentions how it’s not their fault is a big teaching point, but he’s pointing blame at Reid for something that isn’t his fault. He does mention how KC has gone through some unique challenges (like with Belcher), so I think that pain is still fresh and he’s directing his frustration at Reid, wrongly.

Whoa, I'm not saying anything about Reid at all nor that I agree with the guys viewpoint.

Was just saying that nowhere did I get that he was drawing a direct correlation between Reid's children and Hill.

I know. Didn’t mean to imply that.

I’m sure there’s some miscommunication / misinterpretation on his comments. I just can’t get on board with pointing the finger at Reid, who is only trying to help. The part about the team being paid for by taxpayers and those same taxpayers now for Hill’s issues seems cheap and insincere too.

I’m a little worked up over this. I’m gonna chill.

Agreed with the bolded, and I don't think his initial intent was to ever point the finger, I think it just started out as a conversation about him as a coach/leader that wandered off a little bit too far.

I'm very much into accountability like you and I didn't hear that as him trying to lessen Reid's accountability as much as it was about discussing his opinion on what type of a leader he is (agree or disagree).

Even if we give the nameless radio dude the entire benefit of the doubt and take him at his word that he wasn’t talking about Andy Reid’s family life:

Wasn’t Reid instrumental in the rehabilitation of Michael Vick, perhaps the most prominent example of a troubled NFL player turning his personal life around of the past decade?

Assuming I’m remembering that right: even if he wasn’t going for the cheap shot, I think the dude’s assertion that Reid can’t help football players straighten out their lives is just, well, wrong.

Just in case this is about my remarks, I never once said it wasn't about his family life as it very clearly is.

The only thing I said is that to me, he was never insinuating that Reid was the cause of both his children's trouble's or Hill's troubles. It was simply how he responded and dealt with them.

Again not sure if this was aimed at me but I didn't say anything to the contrary nor did I (or would I) challenge things Reid has done.

I don't. Not when it comes to those franchises. Not when it comes to going crazy about draft picks and grades and winners of free agent periods and trades, etc.

I have a pretty keen understanding that those franchises are trash until proven otherwise, that not every player in the draft is going to even be serviceable let alone a star, not every team that signs free agents and makes magnificent trades will end up being successful, and that most trades are impossible to evaluate until years down the line.

I know those are part of "being a fan" but I don't get suckered into **** like that.

If that makes me arrogant or some ****, then so be it. It's being able to recognize and understanding how **** works after watching these leagues for decades.

Oh yeah. This is the 4th season.

                                Season 1: Arizona Cardinals
Season 2: Rams (the move to LA, transition from Keenum to Goff, firing of Fisher)
                                Season 3: Cowboys
                                Season 4: Panthers

They've also done one of these on the Michigan Wolverines, Manchester United and and New Zeland All Blacks (Rugby).

I've watched all but the Rugby one, they're all pretty fantastic. It's all NFL Films stuff, so that's why nobody's spotted Amazon-specific crews or anything.

Some teams are putting out good content this offseason too, the Browns and Chiefs both have ongoing series for example. I'm sure others do too.
