Also, apparently the Bengals are getting new uniforms and will unveil them on Monday. I would hope they don't mess with their helmets. Despite never liking the team, they have about the coolest helmets/design.
Not dismissed as in there is no case, just not going forward with it right now. She can still file at any point with her name attached. May or may not happen but that's why he wanted the names attached to get some dropped or settled.

Another one was also filed today and if you read it it follows the same behavior. She is a freelance makeup artist and yet he reached out for a massage. Although she does say he pressured her into touching it.

I'm sure most people haven't read the lawsuits so he needs to settle quickly unless he has some proof to bring up at trial. All these women saying the same thing with emails, messages, etc will easily win a civil lawsuit. Video of then telling their story won't be able to be ignored by the NFL.

I feel like what most people haven't read is the first thing I mentioned earlier on in this thread.

Day one, the first interaction from Buzbee to Watson was asking for 6 figures to settle the whole thing. That right there means that nothing about women's feelings, honor, mental incapacity/struggle through anguish to ever work again, etc. was even a marginal cause for anything. Money was wanted, and not even a lot of money when everyone and their mama knows how much Deshaun has. This whole thing reeks of small time extortion that managed to go viral, so it's grown its own backbone to go for more. Again, I'm not saying that I can't be completely wrong. It just smells wrong. I don't trust it. 20 years ago, maybe I would have believed people weren't capable of lying and making up such BS, but not anymore. There's no limit to what people will lie about and concoct to beg, borrow and steal.

It definitely is about money but that doesn't mean they are lying. Until we see the evidence each side shows in court, it's hard to see who is lying. So far we have a pattern with +20 women that the defense has already confirmed as true. We know extra stuff happened because they already admitted it, it's just down to do you believe they did it willingly (for free) or he didn't pay enough or pressured them and they unwillingly gave in or refused. He doesn't have to be charged with a crime to be sued in civil court and so far he is losing the that based on the public info.

It's certainly not over but in his best interest to settle unless he can prove that they are lying. That will be very hard unless he has messages from them asking to schedule again or following up rating of the massage. He really has no chance since he has already admitted to some of it and there are supposedly messages from him saying sorry afterwards.

The guy left a paper trail because he was stupid. They can prove all of the massages happened even if he paid cash because he was messaging them online and texting them. Have some commonsense if you want to screw your career and find some discrete company, I'm sure they will role play a massage for him.

Sounds like unless he wants to catch some level of sexual crime (assault, unwanted touching, not sure the varying levels) he best settle this. But having come out so hard against it off the jump, it wouldn’t surprise me if the plaintiffs want to see him burn. They were rebuffed on settlement at first and things are trending in their favor now. Why settle? To get it over with, but many of their names are out there now (or will be) so I don’t know if that lessens that scrutiny much.

A criminal case doesn’t disallow a civil case, does it? So he could get raked for this twice. Once by the law and the court of public opinion, and again in the wallet civilly.

I’ve been meaning to say this for days or weeks, but I highly doubt Deshaun is the only one doing this type of business. I totally believe NFL players know who’s who in each city, what they can or cannot get and how. It totally boggles the mind after so much over the last few years that guys are more interested in a happy ending than making sure everything is agreed to and consented to.

Charles Davis and Matt Miller were calling him a HOF'er. One of them said he defined the slot position.

But he's a HOF without a doubt for me. Defined the position I don't know.

You do realize that when you go to court for a civil trial the goal is to get money right?

Shifting gears, apparently Trevor Lawrence made some comments along the lines of not having a chip on his shoulder or win at all costs mentality and its ruffling some people's feathers or lessening their opinion of him as a pro football player?

When are we going to drop this ridiculous idea that NFL players should devote their life to the sport? The NFL is a machine. It uses up people and spits them out when it no longer has use for them. Why should players treat it any differently?

Players are free to feel however they want about the game, but if I'm given a choice between a Trevor Lawrence who is devoted to the game and who isn't I'm picking the one who is devoted. If I'm creating a player and they tell me "hey, you can add "devoted to the game" for no extra charge, do you want it?" Sure, why not
