One of the big reasons I like Sean Payton is that he actually gives the undrafted guys a real chance to play and take time away from starters if they get outplayed, so when the Saints sign people, I don't automatically assume that they're camp bodies who we'll never hear from.

Once I seen him start Colston week 1 of his rookie year, I became a fan. He's not afraid to give PT to the lower round guys or UDFA's.

The tarped off parts don't count towards attendance, do they? That would inflate your percentage a bit.

I find it weird that the Packers weren't at 100%, since getting tickets is ****ing impossible.

Seems like a team that has a good relationship between the scouts and the coaches, always seem to find one or two low round guys/UDFAs who contribute every year.

Home attendance is always interesting to look at, but overall attendance intrigues me. Interesting to see what teams draw a big crowd both at home and on the road

They do not count for or against attendance. The tarps take the giant EverBank Field (which is that way for the Gator Bowl and the Florida/Georgia game) and make it suited to the actual market of the Jaguars.

Apparently, the tarps make the stadium the size Wayne Weaver originally wanted for NFL games. The Florida-Georgia game is the reason it's so big.

Can't believe Detroit sold so many tickets when the team had its head so far up its *** this year. Guessing attendance started to fall near the end though.

I find it odd that Seattle had the 3rd least amount of fans at road games this past year.

Yeah I like that about Payton. I think he took that philosophy from Parcells as he was also a guy that let the play on the field dictate if a guy's going to be a big part of a team or just filler.

Random question - what point do you all consider to be the end of the offseason and the beginning of the subsequent preseason? The start of the league year in March? The draft? June 1st? Opening of team mini-camps? The Hall of Fame Game?

Pretty much now imo, teams are starting to work out and rookies are entering the facility. Not much left to do roster management wise besides any extensions or cuts

When the draft starts the offseason is officially over to me.

Start of minicamps for me as that's when everyone including new personnel are on the field all at once.

You have to look at who they play against. Of the 8 away games, 6 of them are #21 or worst in home attendance. The Panthers were actually the highest ranked team they played.
