Shouldn't you at least have a shred of hope? I don't think Glennon will be the answer but I can't say that with 100% certainty. At NC State he performed pretty well for having no offensive weapons and a terrible o-line. Jackson and Williams are great targets for a guy who can absolutely sling it.

Christ. They've found a way to make me even more depressed about the season.
Silver lining is maybe there's enough time left in the year for them to realize that neither Freeman or Glennon are long-term answers and we can feel good about the idea of taking Bridgewater or Boyd with our top 5 pick that we're almost guaranteed to have now.

He's eerily similar to Freeman, but worse in almost every aspect.NFL: Bills

Edit: Anyways, hopefully I'm wrong, but I feel like his best case scenario is basically what we got from Freeman... doing just enough to make us not go out and get another QB for a few years before we realize he's actually a big part of the problem.NFL: Bills

I get that you don't like him as a QB, but Freeman has you guys going nowhere. Give Glennon a chance. Worst (perhaps best) case scenario, he flops and you get the top pick you desire. Alternative is he leads you to a somewhat respectable record, and maybe he can get you on his side with his play.
Seems like a win/win.
I do see your side that he can do just enough to stick. QB purgatory. Seen that too much in Buffalo.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Re: NFL Off Topic
I was at least able to cling to some hope that he might turn it around and our team would start winning games. With Freeman, you at least see flashes like that stretch last year when he had something like 12 TDs to 0 INTs in 4 weeks. I don't think Glennon is capable of even showing flashes beyond one throw here and there.

Re: NFL Off Topic
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have decided to bench quarterback Josh Freeman for rookie Mike Glennon, coach Greg Schiano announced Wednesday.
"This league is about finding a franchise quarterback, and with Josh's roller-coaster career, we don't feel he's that guy," a team source said.
There are five weeks before the trade deadline, and if a team loses a starting quarterback and has interest in Freeman, the Bucs are willing to trade him. For now, he's their backup quarterback.Comment

Sounds like the Freeman era is officially over in Tampa.
Hopefully Schiano will have more patience with whoever is the new starting QB next season.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

It sounds like there's a lot of unrest in that locker room right now. Doesn't bode well for Schiano either.

Freeman was never his guy, though. I mean it's only Year #2 with Schiano, he's just now starting to mould his roster. Weird situation there with a rebuilding team who got a new coach but the QB from the past era stayed put.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

Re: NFL Off Topic
The Bills are doing it right: letting the team grow along with the coach. The Bucs screwed it up by putting a team together that should be good enough to compete for a playoff spot with a coach that can't get out of his own way.
Now Tampa is stuck with a roster of guys that want to win and a coach that brings them down, so they now have to find a way to keep the players' heads on straight while tanking for at least one more year.NFL: Bills
