I know the stats say one thing, but for me personally being a great QB is about how you play when the chips are down, and Eli's shown that.

I'm not buying the 'swap them and you get the same results' argument either. Fact is, Romo's really not performed all that well in playoff games and games with playoff implications, while Eli has been exceptional in those situations.
I don't buy that bolded part. Romo put the team in a position to win against SEA and NY in those playoff games. The MIN game was a no-show for the whole team, and an ***-whooping by NY.

2nd, again, Romo wasn't the problem in the final game last year, nor was he the issue in the 1st game against NY last year.

      Another NFL player gets arrested.

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was arrested in Houston late Friday night and charged with resisting arrest.

According to HPD data, Peterson remains in the city jail waiting to post, or be released on $1,000 bond. The listed offense is “resisting arrest/search unclassified.”

No other details were immediately available.

Peterson, a native of Palestine in East Texas and former tailback for the University of Oklahoma, is recovering from a knee injury he suffered last Christmas Eve that required reconstructive surgery.
      UPDATE

For now, the events leading to the Saturday morning arrest of Vikings running back Adrian Peterson aren’t clear. Soon, they likely will be.

A source with knowledge of the situation tells PFT that the incident culminating in Peterson’s arrest was captured by one or more surveillance cameras. Multiple persons also witnessed the event.

According to the source, Peterson, his girlfriend, and some family members were at a nightclub in Houston. At closing time, a group of police officers entered the club, and they began instructing the remaining patrons to leave.

Peterson wanted to get some water before he left, but an officer told Peterson that he needed to leave. Some words apparently were exchanged, but Peterson eventually walked to the exit with one of the club’s bouncers.

It’s believed that one of the officers then jumped on Peterson’s back from behind and tried to take him down. (Key word: “tried.”) Other officers then joined the fray and completed the arrest.

Peterson was charged with resisting arrest, which implies he was being arrested for something else. He is charged for now with no other crime.

Multiple witnesses recorded portions of the incident with their phones, but it’s currently believed that the best view of the interaction between Peterson and the police will come from the surveillance camera(s) at the club.

Keep checking PFT — or perhaps YouTube — for more details.
This entire situation seems suspect if you ask me.

With Peterson.. how you going to make a report with "words were exchanged".

Don't we need to know wtf was said before we know why the cop went postal over Peterson getting a cup of water on his way OUT the club? As it stands this story sounds incomplete and either Peterson's going to come out of this a loser, or the cop is going to get Travon'd real fast.

Hopefully the facts come out soon. They shouldn't have leaked this out yet if they weren't prepared to give all the story and not just a piece.

This is what our local newspaper here in Milwaukee is reporting on Peterson:

Club security was telling people to leave because the club was closing. Peterson ignored this order and went to the back to get a cup of water. When confronted by one of the police officers who was helping the security team get people out of the building, Peterson reportedly shouted, "I heard ya the first time," and pushed the officer back causing him to stumble and nearly fall backwards over a chair.

Not sure if it's entirely true or not, it's just what the paper's reporting right now.

And kudos to that police department for only taking 3 guys to tackle him.. Most NFL teams it takes 7-8 guys to take Peterson down. Packers should go and sign those three guys.

I know too many cases where cops and/or security guards let power go to their head and overreact in certain situations. Not saying that all cops are like that, but that certainly is what it sounds like here to me. Certainly doesn't sound like a Pacman situation at least.

But honestly that doesn't sound like that at all. I've been at bars around closing time, and there's always a few stragglers, and to varying degrees the security guys are either cool about it or total dicks and trying to look for trouble since they know 99% of the people there are intoxicated anyways.

We don't know the whole story of course, but if all Peterson was doing was trying to get some water before leaving w/ his friends and not being disorderly, then this certainly seems like the cop intentionally got in his face to get a rise out of him and unfortunately he reacted in the wrong way.

So yeah, there are currently quite a few games that are on Youtube for you to watch from last season.

And by games, I mean the ENTIRE game, not just highlights so if you need your NFL Fix, better take advantage of it now before the League gets a hold of them.
