Some of these rules are just EXTREME.

I like how you can't walk to the game as they'll be screening you before and after you get in to see if you have a transportation pass.

I can already see this SB being a disaster of epic proportions when it comes to fan servicing.

I hope there is a giant snowstorm and it screws with the entire thing. Those rules are obnoxious. There are rules restricting the color car you drive now. WAT.

      EDIT: whoops misread

So did they have similar rules like this in the last few SBs in regards to travel?

I guess they are taking the "No Fun League" literally now. No tailgating, which is main thing of football is just dumb.

I guess local businesses might like it, because people will eat there instead of paying $20 for a hot dog(no idea if they raise prices during the Super Bowl, wouldn't be shocked.)

Nope, they always have allowed all the important people to have limo access ... they just don't have any room. It is going to be interesting how all the important people are going to be able to get to the game. I guess they probably can buy a parking pass and have their car stay there.

The tailgating won't really matter as normal fans don't usually go to the game.

Stopping walking is going to be hard to control. If you are walking somewhere that you can legally walk, how can they stop you? Now they may force you through some security checkpoint. If they try to stop people from walking by forcing them to buy a bus or transportation pass, that should be a fun lawsuit to bring against NJ and the NFL.

After tonight's game Jay Cutler might be available. But I still find it hard to believe that McCown continues playing this well. I always looked at him as a career back up

EDIT: I stand corrected just read that Trestman confirms Cutler will remain starter. I really thought McCown has played great and may have earned that starting job.

McCown is 34 years old he is not the future of the Bears. He has played well this year in Cutlers absence.

Didn't think he would be the future but maybe a stop gap and draft one of the QBs in the draft this year. Just a thought.

I thought the same thing. I mean Cutler will be 31 next season won't he? Not exactly the fountain of youth over there.

I'm pretty sure we all said McCown couldn't keep this up, but he has. He'd definitely be cheaper. I'm not saying they need to go that route, but Idk how they couldn't consider it.

Key word is cheaper. Plus I believe he makes less mistakes then Cutler. To me McCown would be a perfect stop gap for a season or two if the Bears were to draft a QB in the last 1st or 2nd.

And let me clarify what I mean by perfect, I believe McCown fits that offensive system. I am not saying he would be a great QB for any other team. But he has proven he is comfortable and can compete in Treatman's scheme.

I'd sign him to be my backup.

Wouldn't dare want him leading my team for 16 games though, knowing his limitations.

We have people talking about Josh McCown being a starting QB going into a season at 35. The same Josh McCown who was playing for the Hartford Colonials 3 years ago. Bless you, Marc Trestman and Aaron Kromer.

Doesn't really matter, they'll franchise Jay if they have to. Don't see him going anywhere and I'm cool with that. Of course, I'm used to **** like Rex Grossman, Cade McNown, Craig Krenzel, etc.

Also the NFL is a joke with their rules. So you can't walk to the game, but you can pay 51 bucks to take the shuttle? If it's one group that doesn't deserve to have the success that they enjoy, it's the NFL.

The way I see it, the Bears probably aren't going to win a Super Bowl with a 30+ year old Jay Cutler with the squad they have. So why not let him walk, resign some younger, higher quality and higher potential talent, possibly draft a QB or sign a young QB in free agency and let McCown start next year. If he does poorly then play the young guy and see what he can do, if he plays well, well, he plays well.

Re-signing Cutler doesn't really help the Bears too much I don't believe.
