How is that any different from having the Pro Bowl in Miami or California...or anywhere here? Players looking for trouble will find it regardless of the venue.

      1. Probably because it would be much harder to police down there leaving it up to local authorities.

      2. Hate to say this but there may be a higher chance of someone getting caught soliciting underage prostitution. That would be the biggest black eye ever for Goodell if a player was busted for that. Or a tranny.

I just don't think it's s good idea in general. The players don't take the game seriously as it is now. This would just be throwing them in a bigger playpen so to speak.

I hate the idea and but from an NFL point of view, it makes a little sense but not much. I see it as playing the games in the London. They are trying to internationalize the league. It would make a lot more sense to hold it in London because that seems like the logical first international team in the league. But that is my best guess as to why they are playing the game in Brazil.

Aren't these two thoughts pretty contradictory?

Also I'm pretty sure prostitution is legal in Brazil.

I think the thing to take away from his concern is the underage part.

#1 was related to crime and player safety.

#2 was more about underage prostituion. It's one thing for a player to get locked up for soliciting a prostitute like what kingkilla said. It could happen anywhere.

But if a NFL player got locked up for soliciting an underage girl (which is rampant in Brazil), Gooddell can't just spin that. It'd be the final nail in the coffin for him.

lol, why would that be pinned on Goodell? This isn't a high school field trip.

The only reason those ever come back to him is because of the application of ambiguous policies rather than the incidents themselves.

It's not the incident but how he's handled them.

LOVE the NFL going with a digital broadcast of Bills/Jaguars. I wonder if it'll be something like NBC (since they simulcast SNF on their website) or a completely different service, like a Google/YouTube. That would be my guess. Maybe Yahoo!? I know they've been broadcasting concerts live recently so they're capable.

Ehh, depends on what and who it is.

But then again, the outrage for it will be fake anyway. At least in my eyes.

What incident has ever happened where the first reaction was "that's Rogers fault?"

                                Never said that.

But I'm also not naive to the fact that there are idiots out there that will look to place some sort of blame on him "just because".
