Fans would (rightfully) riot if they ever tried to pull a stunt like that.

I remember when they were talking about possibly selling naming rights for the stadium and there was a huge uproar about it.

I think revenues is about as close to max as it will get in Green Bay already.

        Do they pay PSLs?

Are there a lot of luxury boxes?

They probably do pretty well in merchandise sales and of course sell out most of their games.

If they ever get to building a new stadium up there, it would make sense. The Packers are one of the most prolific passing teams in the league. I remember how they lit it up in Atlanta in the playoffs and then had to play at Chicago, where they didn't score as much because well the Bears had a better defense than Atlanta that year and the weather was harsh, IIRC.

So you would hope they'd strongly consider it, unless "frozen tundra at Lambeau" is such a thing.
The stadium boxes are built all around the stadium. They also sell PSL's and plus, don't forget, there is a 30 or 40 year waiting list for season tickets, and they sell paper stock at $250.00 a shot. The Packers are a very profitable football team.

Again, maybe one game a year that has inclement weather worth a roof over the head and like Uber said, the owners of the team and the fans would have a riot.

They've sold out every game since 1960.

If dead Packer fans heard someone suggest a roof over Lambeau, they would be turning over in their graves, waking from the dead and find the person that started the rumor.

The "frozen tundra" is media overblown driven hype by Mr. 3 minute highlights at ESPN.

The Green Bay Packers enjoyed record revenue and profits in the 2012-13 season, the team said Tuesday as part of its annual releasing of financials. The Packers said the team made $54.3 million in profit on $308 million in total revenue.

I believe the PSL was a one-time deal to keep your season tickets when we did that to raise money.

We don't use them I believe, but I'd have to check to make sure (we have a few season tickets in my immediate family, I just have never had to deal with the PSL stuff.)

Last I had heard we had 168 suites (which were $85,000 for the season - or $12,000 for a single game.)

While the Packers are run like a business in the end, it means so much more to the city around it. The city and the team are basically intertwined with each other in that the city supports the team while the team brings in a ton of money to the small city.

We're talking about $13.5 million dollars for the businesses in the city. For one home playoff game. Spending by out-of-town visitors was about $12.3 million dollars of that. Their interests are tied directly to one another, instead of some wealthy businessman looking out for his own pockets.

Jacobs came back this year and had a stabilizing effect on the lockerroom. He matured. He is one of the great NYG running backs stats wise (believe it or not lol). I wish him well.

Roadman and Uber took the words out of my mouth regarding considering turning Lambeau into a Dome. The game is already being sissified(slight hyperbole)as it is so there's no need to change our stadium or any other northern team into a Dome.

                    Great article in today's MJS.

Guy wrote an article that was there in 67.

In 67, they didn't have Doppler radar and was surprised at how low the temperature was at kickoff. -13.

Clothing can be selected to be worn be thermal insulating today. North end zone seats in 67 were lower to the ground. The stadium has heated luxury boxes and club seating, and 7000 new south end zone seats, making the winds less tornado like for a winter blast. In 67, they had to go across the street to a gas station to warm their hands. Now, there is a heated atrium. The bus they took the windows were caked with ice after the game, now his car has heated seats. The price his family paid for a ticket was 10 bucks and this game ticket is well worth the price of a bit over 100 bucks for bragging rights for years to come like the 67 Ice Bowl.

Fans of the team are great. 200 fans held a rally in downtown GB yesterday to help the Packers sellout.

And fans from the outside wish for a dome at Lambeau??

The fact that Ireland and Philbin still have a job in Miami has me this close (I'm holding my fingers really ****ing close together right now) to rage quitting the NFL.

Why does Philbin deserve to be fired? Because one of his players is a big p****? Dude won games despite all of it. I'd be okay with firing Ireland.

I think Philbin doesn't deserve to be fired but man, they got to do something about the QB position. Tannehill just doesn't have the goods to deliver when the team needs it most. He had at least 2 chances to get the Dolphins into the playoffs and played like crap both times.

Anyways I don't think Philbin is the problem in Miami. I still don't think they have a really playoff quality roster quite yet, especially on offense.

It would be tough to replace Tannehill after just 2 seasons. Wasn't he a top 10 pick?

Then again, supposedly the Titans may draft another QB, even though Locker showed some signs of improvement before his injuries?
