Re: NFL Off Topic
Not sure that was the NFL's decision, the Pro Football Hall of Fame is it's own entity and they were the source of the denial due to a rule they had in place for posthumous inductions.
- The video shown for Seau will also be about double the length as the usual videos (~6 minutes) and includes comments from Sydney (as it always had)
- Sydney and Seau's sons will reveal his bust, this is usually just the presenter and the enshrinee.
- Sydney will represent her father at the Gold Coat dinner and in interview opportunities.

I'm glad that the NFL and HOF changed their original decision regarding Seau's family being involved. It would've been a real dark cloud over the ceremonies if they weren't allowed to be a part of it.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: NFL Off Topic
Wasn't the rule applied to everyone and not just the Seau's? If so, I don't see why they get an exception.NFL- Green Bay Packers
NCAA- Florida State Seminoles
NHL- Carolina HurricanesComment

Re: NFL Off Topic
Yes. This was the initial statement from the HOF when this began to blow up;
"The policy of the Pro Football Hall of Fame since 2010 regarding individuals enshrined posthumously provides for an expanded presenting video (longer than the videos of living inductees) followed by the traditional unveiling of the bronzed bust and no additional comments made from the podium,” the Hall of Fame said in a statement issued late Friday. “This policy is not precedent setting and was implemented for the first time in 2011 when former Los Angeles Rams great Les Richter was inducted posthumously.*The Pro Football Hall of Fame looks forward to honoring the careers of Junior Seau and the seven other members of the Class of 2015 during the upcoming Enshrinement Ceremony.”Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
The reason for the outrage was due to one of the PFHoF's executives saying they didn't want to focus on "his death or other issues".
If they simply cited the rule alone, there would be no issue. But a fool decided to open his mouth and let everyone know that he's a fool.jWILLComment

Re: NFL Off Topic
Because he's a Rausenhaus guy. He was working the giants for a bigger deal than offered. Then he blew his hand off. Then iced out everybody fr the team for exactly no good reason. So at this point the giants have no reason to let him sign the offer anyway. They still don't even know what his full injuries are. So yeah, JPP will be an unrestricted free agent next year.
Another Giants first round pick bites the dust to injury. Awesome.Comment
