Was looking through Youtube and came across a series of videos, Sherman's Warriors.

Former Packers HC Mike Sherman is coaching a high school team somewhere.

Wasn't he the Dolphins OC a year or two ago?

Pretty steep drop unless he's like volunteering for a local school (or not doing it for the meager pay but just to coach young players)

Probably something of a semi retirement. I think he just enjoys teaching the game.

Yeah, some guys just have the game in their veins til the day they die. Ray Perkins (the guy that got Parcells' foot in the door) is a volunteer HS coach and he's 73!

Favre's team actually won the state championship two years ago:

Also I think former Pats/Phins RB Sammy Morris is coaching a team somewhere in Mass.

Favre was the OC. He's since stepped down, but still helps out.

Kitna left his alma mater to go coach at Waxahachie in Texas. Rian Lindell coaches at Garfield HS up here. Tremain Mack is the head coach at Mount Rainier HS up here and Dane Looker is the OC at his alma mater's biggest rival.

Antonio Pierce is also head coach at Long Beach Poly in Cali.

Sherman is 60 years old...Belichek, Nick Saban and Pete Carroll are older than him. I think if he wanted to, he could easily get hired as an OL coach as that's his main calling.

Coaching HS has a lot less expectations though...even Spurrier intimated at doing HS coaching after retiring from SC.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

ESPN (I think) had a feature on Sherman about a month or so ago. From what I remember, he had basically retired and moved to some small town. The high school football team there wasn't very good and the coach left. When people found out a former NFL coach was living in town, they basically begged him to take the job.

I remember him from Hard Knocks with the Dolphins a couple of years ago.

He was the OC I believe, under Philbin.

He was barking at the players.

I think that was the season with the Incognito and Jonathan Martin bullying?

So did he get fired and the Dolphins brought in Mazor or did he leave?

He came from Texas A&M with Tannehill, but the early returns weren't great so they made a change.

I mainly remember him from his time as HC of the Packers before McCarthy. He always seemed like a Mike Martz type, more an OC then head coach.

What's Martz doing these days, anyway?
