Re: NFL Off Topic
Nothing really, but like in many instances the video makes it seem more "real" and it becomes a bigger story. Remember Ray Rice's issue was something that didn't blow up until that video surfaced and the Kareem Hunt video pretty much meant he was out of town in KC.
People react more viscerally to actual video rather than something in print.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: NFL Off Topic
I don't think this really holds up to that kind of comparison. If it was more than a consensual act where money was exchanged (such as abuse) the charges would be different.
Additionally if he was more involved in the actual trafficking, again, there would be different / more charges.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
This thing might end up being the end of Kraft as a face of the Patriots, but since it’s off the field and not even a player or coach, I just don’t think it matters that much as far as a sports issue goes. Obviously solicitation is illegal and trafficking people is just downright wrong, but I see worst case scenario the younger Kraft takes the reigns from his father and Robert fades away quietly. Steve/Stephen seemed to be more and more involved, at least appearance wise, over the last few years anyway.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Re: NFL Off Topic
I guess people here just don't see patterns. Individually things could be fine, but adding them up shows there is probably more.
Did you know his kids gained control of how the trust money was spent because they feared he was going to add his girlfriend's kid that isn't his to the will? There is legally paying for it and while it makes him look creepy, the NFL can live with it. Breaking the law and human trafficking being involved, the NFL can't ignore it.
If public opinion doesn't care and it blows over, he will be fine, but he will be dropped by the NFL quickly if this gets a lot of coverage.

Re: NFL Off Topic
Unless something worse comes out, it’ll blow over in a few months and people here and elsewhere will be rarely talking about this.
It certain won’t be a Top 5-10 story on the Networks.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: NFL Off Topic
He would have to be implicated in the actual trafficking for anything serious to happen to him.
That, coupled with this video highly unlikely to be coming out unless this were to somehow go to trial lead me to believe this will be a non discussion point in a matter of weeks.Comment

If this video just shows him laying on the table getting serviced and that’s it then it will probably be forgotten about.Comment
