Sad to say, but will this finally be the nail in the coffin?!

(And sad that it took so long not that Snyder maybe, might, could be finally axed.)

I wonder what other non-Washington news comes out in order to take away the spotlight lol.

Either Snyder got explicit photos or the NFL needs to say enough is enough.

Especially since knowing that opposing NFC East teams turned those games into Home Field for them.

He probably has the owners and Goodell all on tape together participating in an orgy or something messed up. The faster he's out of the league the better.

                  Per PFT.com

Saturday night’s bombshell could indeed be the last straw for the NFL and Daniel Snyder.

A.J. Perez of FrontOfficeSports.com reported last night that Congress is exploring whether the Washington Commanders withheld money that should have been surrendered to the league’s visiting-team pool. As a league source with knowledge of the dynamics among owners told PFT, this would become Snyder’s “death knell” as an owner, if it’s proven to be true.

There also would be an effort to force Snyder to make his payments, whether through the court system or an internal arbitration.

NFL teams don’t keep all of their ticket revenue, and they don’t directly share any of the money from each given game with the opponent. Instead, 40 percent of the gate from every game goes into a league-wide pool that goes in equal portions to all teams.

So, if this is true, Snyder got 1/32nd of the 40-percent payments generated by the other 31 teams — and he failed to pony up all of the 40-percent chunk that should have gone to his partners.

His partners have protected him when it comes to the investigation regarding workplace misconduct because, indirectly, they are protecting themselves from having similar allegations threaten the hold on their franchises. If it can be proven that he has been picking his partners’ pockets, his partners quite likely will be kicking his *** out of the house.
You can pimp out your Cheerleaders as long as you’re paying your cut…but withhold that money while still collecting…this you got problems.

Makes sense (for them), money is the goal, you are given latitude, but can't mess with the money.

If you were gonna withhold money, that seems like the absolute stupidest place to skim. Ticket sales and prices are easy to find even without NFL insider information, and we're talking about a comparative pittance. Especially considering Washington is one of the least attended teams in the league.
Bills, Sabres, Illini, Cubs, basically any team that abuses its fanbase and I'm there.

It depends on how long this has been going on. Before Covid Washington was basically always a top 5ish team in attendance. If he's been skimming some from this fund for years, then it could be a huge amount of money. If he has only been doing it the last few years since attendance has been terrible then it isn't near as much, obviously.

Either way, I hope this leads to the end of Snyder. I know there is a gigantic fanbase that is dying to root for this team again, but we have nothing to be excited about as long as Snyder is around.

If there was a way to track # of visiting fans in opposing stadiums, they would be a lock at #1.

I’m sure they do but they would probably still be #2 because this has been an issue at FedEx since Snyder took over.

And it was a problem before that somehow found a way to become even worse the last few years. Honestly, it seems lately it's just away fans at the games only. At least 5 years ago you had Washington fans showing up, too, but I think the fanbase hit the breaking point in recent years.

I know I have. If this team was ever competent again, I'd follow them no less than any of my other teams in other sports, but regularly I find myself not even caring if I get to see the games or not some weeks.
