For some reason if it had been 12-13 I would have been okay with it, but 11 feels weak somehow. Idk. Will definitely be rooting for that team to suck lol.

11 was specifically agreed to because Watson needs to play 6 games to keep his contract from tolling. If he was suspended 12 games, his deal would repeat next year and he would lose tens of millions.

poor old Watson. the hits just keep coming, it's almost comical.

I wonder how long until Vegas starts taking wagers on who makes it back into an nfl game first:
          Kaepernick or Watson?

If Mark Davis wanted Brady, who cares what the coach wants?! What is Gruden going to do torpedo himself? Sabotage a season? No chance.

And I find it almost impossible to believe Gruden wouldn't have wanted to coach Brady. He was pretty outspoken about his love for veteran QBs. In Tampa, he had a deal in place for Favre. He's going to turn down THE guy? No way.

Doesn't pass the smell test for me.

And just a goofy sidenote; Gruden was an assistant on the 9ers team that had Montana and Young. Also on the Packers staff the groomed Favre. Add Brady... imagine being the rooster that strut around talking about that Mt Rushmore of QBs. Unprecedented.

Bills 6th round pick Matt Araiza wins the starting job on Tuesday, gets accused of gang raping a 17 year old on Thursday. Utterly disgusting, he needs to go.

The details are pretty ****ing disgusting.

He needs to be cut, regardless of the status of investigation. He’s a punter. You only carry one and can’t wait around for a case to work through the system or the NFL to figure out punishment.

It doesn’t look good considering it’s alleged he admitted to parts of the incident (sex with a minor, while also not disclosing until after that he had an STD) in a recorded call set up by detectives working the case. If he clears his name sufficiently, he’ll get another shot in the NFL. But for the Bills, it’s really not worth the distraction or the ugly optics of keeping this guy on the roster. I understand due process in the eyes of the law, but being on an NFL team is not a right. Especially not when you’re a rookie punter with something like this swirling around you. It’s a cut your losses situation for the Bills. Even if he’s cleared, with what has been alleged, it’s hard to reconcile the culture the Bills have worked so hard to build within the locker room and with the community with someone accused of doing something so heinous.

The word is the Bills knew about this before we cut Matt Haack and named him the starter (not sure if they knew when they dragged him). That seems like a perplexing decision. The Bills severely misjudged the shocking reaction most people will have when reading the details. I’ll be a relatively surprised if, after a night and a day in the sports new cycle, he isn’t cut.

As of right now, he’s expected to play tomorrow night in Carolina. We’ll see what happens tomorrow.

off topic of the Buffalo punter directly, but indirectly, these kickers are too specialised as is, especially with only 53 spots open, place kickers should be able to punt, punters should be able to kick field goals, xp's & kickoffs afaic. if the Chiefs have safety that can kick, I don't see why punters need coddled so much that that is all they do. you don't need a punter to be your holder, that should be the 3rf string qb's job. FWIW I'm against having a guy that only longsnaps. he should see mop up duty in blowout games at either regular center or somewhere else on the o-line IMO [/endrant]

ok, back to ganging up on Bills punter
