Re: NFL Off Topic
I used to be so into the whole pre-draft process. I used to tune into the combine, often check the mock drafts, keep an eye on pro-days. But, I have fell out of it last few years. I fully get the 40 time sentiment. Outside of Chris Johnson, the 4.2 guys really didn't do anything in the league. Hell, a lot of the workout warriors don't usually do anything in the leagueComment

You want free speech?
Let's see you acknowledge a man whose words make your blood boil, advocating at the top of his lungs that which you would spend a lifetime opposing at the top of yours.Comment

I don't know why 40 times are viewed as more "prestigious" or important than cone and shuttle times. If I give any stock to combine drills for skill positions it would be those 2Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
Random thing I'm now thinking about a month after the fact...how was that Gronk fan duel thing even legal?
They had people bet on if he'd miss or make the kick....but this wasn't some live kick at halftime or anything, it was a prerecorded bit done by fan duel. Couldn't they have just picked whichever outcome had the lesser return and made that the winning result?
It's like betting on wrestling (which is crazy enough a thing on certain smaller betting services, which obviously get shut down/odds swayed a lot right before the show when you know friends/family of employees just get told who to bet on).Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
Random thing, but former NFL WR Rod Gardner is on this season of the amazing race.
He was doing the "get to know you" narration for the premiere episode and he was talking about who he played for. Was drafted 1st round in 01 by Washington. But he didn't just say Washington. But they edited out what he did say before his wife had to correct him after the fact and he had to say the Commanders.
I get obviously it's a bad name and all, but are people not even allowed to refer to the pre Commanders days as their old name? Amazing Race airs on CBS as well so was it a CBS thing that made them edit out the team name?Comment

NFL Off Topic
Yeah that’s corny if that’s the case lol
But I’ve also noticed that networks pick and choose when they want censor certain words.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: NFL Off Topic
I would guess that the NFL insists on references to the current team, not the old one. Referring to the Redskins doesn't build the current brand.Bills, Sabres, Illini, Cubs, basically any team that abuses its fanbase and I'm there.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
Feels overly simplistic, a stirring the pot kind of topic (which is his job).
I just don't see teams trying to put a round peg into a square hole over and over and then moving onto the next one. In some form they're all playing to their QB's strengths. Blame for a lack of success is shared with both coaching and players, and sometimes it's apparent who's more at fault than others.Comment
