Re: 2013 NFL Draft Discussion
Looks like Geno changed his mind and is going to be at the draft for Round 2.
Maybe the Jags are taking him with the first pick of the 2nd round.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Discussion
Man, I'm pretty excited that we got Ziggy. Shame we didn't get a shot at Lane Johnson or didn't pull the trigger on a guard, but Ziggy is the kind of guy who if he works out, our D-Line is going to dominate.
I actually hope we go after Tyrann Mathieu, I was hoping Trufant would fall to the 2nd. We're in need of a good 2nd corner, and I don't see any of our other corners filling that hole. I can only guess Jason Jones will line up opposite to Ziggy though, although Jones is better moved along the D-Line on different snaps.
MAN BRING ME THE 2013 SEASON NOW!!Comment

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Discussion
Was bummed the 5 top linemen went in the Top 10 but I like the Fluker pick. Dude is a beast and is a definite upgrade over Clary at RT. I have despised Clary for years and am extremely excited to have him replaced. The only problem is our oline situation is so dire he will most likely still be on the roster. And as BK said may also be moved to guard and still might start.Who knows maybe he will succeed but I just don't like the guy. But all in all I am happy with this. Front office didn't panic and trade up. We have lot of holes to fill and need every last pick we have.

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Discussion
New England trading out of the first round to obtain additional picks was the best thing for them. Like everything New England does it's all about value. All about adding more depth to an already deep roster. Unlikely anyone drafted will start on either side of the ball. It would have made little sense to draft a late 1st rounder and have to pay what a late 1st round pick gets when you can get the same type of player cheaper. Again all about value.
This also gives them room to possibly move up in the 2nd round if there is a player the really covet.
I know most on here don't think very highly of Manti Te'o but whoever drafts him tonight will be receiving a quality inside LB for a very long time. He's a steal in the 2nd round.Comment

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Discussion
Yeah, my problem is traded away from at least 2 players we had 1st round grades on. I can see if all our first round guys were gone, then trading back makes sense. Or if we had at least met market value on the trade. I wish we had a GM like Les Snead or a Bill Belichek running the show, they know how to trade draft picksComment

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Discussion
The losers with the "what!?" chants are annoying as hell...
Imagine that, Stone Cold doing a stunner on the Commish with Rich Eisen doing his best Jim Ross impression. One can dream....
I must admit, the whole booing thing gets old and ruins the entire event. It's not about the commish, and in fairness it's not really about the fans either, it's about 32 young men realising their dream. Cut that crap out. I'm sure I even heard booing during the Boston segment, I suspect they started booing the Commish until they realised what the whole thing was about. Idiots...Comment

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Discussion
If Jags don't take Geno I think someone will move up to the Niners pick to get him.If the Jets are smart(which I doubt) they would. If the Cardinals wasn't in our division I'm sure they would be a team to do this as well.Comment
