I don't understand. Are you expecting belicheck to sit down for an interview or press conference? A couple of players have spoken out about Hernandez

I don't get what's not to understand. Why Kraft and company haven't been pressed harder about the character of some their recent draftees and free agent signings hasn't been asked is an honest question.

Personally, I think it's something wrong with not giving a **** about someone in general.

Also, how has New England necessarily been given a "pass"? I'd be glad New England has guys like Bill Belichick to shut the media down. I bet the media would love to ask Tim Tebow some sort of loaded question like "What type of person was Hernandez" or "How was Hernandez in the locker room at Florida?"

Only people who still bring that up are those who are jealous of New England's continued success.

            Speaking of Tebow:

Not even the Chosen One could keep Hernandez out of trouble... (Sorry if already posted)

These stories are coming left and right. Makes you wonder how none of this ever came to light earlier...

Not giving the Patriots a pass. They waited until they got the drop that it was a murder charge to cut him. Basically the moment they knew he wasn't going to be able to play football this year. Not buying the moral high ground spin.

Outside of Pats fans, to me it's not a national story.

Low priority on my radar of breaking news.

Kraft and company haven't been pressed harder because:

                  1. Their thoughts on this matter first of all would be hearsay, and in an investigation climate as this, would make zero business and most importantly legal sense to speak on this incident. There's no story because the Patriots organization is not going to let there be a story.

                  2. Ultimately their opinions mean nothing. The only person that needs to be doing any talking or answering tough questions is Hernandez. Period. We all know Hernandez screwed up, we don't really need to hear 30 different accounts of the same spin on this incident.

People need to throw this idea that this story still has everything to do with football or pro sports in the bushes.

Guess Belichick and Patriots can really do no wrong in eyes of people. More so than I thought.

If this were the Red Sox? My God! They'd be getting beaten to death by the media.
I'm pretty sure in light of a man dying, the media may not find it in their best interest to focus on how this effects those two individuals.

They also released a potential/alleged/whatever murderer, IDK what exactly they are supposed to say.

I certainly don't intend to speak for aerobee, but when I read what he was saying I thought more along the lines of questioning why they would draft a guy who so clearly had serious character issues on the books, and issues that continued up to this day. Perhaps it's a question of why he was given such a long leash, assuming they already knew about any of the situations that we're all hearing about now.

Granted, the media has this story to occupy themselves for quite a while, so all that can probably wait. They have their story to run with for now.

What's the purpose of asking them "hard questions" when everybody knows they're not going to answer them and everyone knows we'll just get a typical Belichick response anyone? Maybe it's just me, but I have no interest in hearing a bunch of "mumble, mumble, mumble....next question" nonsense.

I guarantee when Training Camp starts, he'll(along with the players)will get more questions involving Hernandez than questions about the team up until Week 1, if that.

With the exception of Ron Borgas & Dan Shaughnessy, name another member of the Boston media that is not kiss *** lapdog that considers themselves part of the organization in some way?
I dont remember there names but they were allot of fun....

So Kraft/belichick should have known that one of their players was going to be a murdery-murderer? It would be stupid to hold them accountable on any level for Hernandez actions.

Yeah he had character issues but so do a majority of guys in pro sports. It's a big jump from this guy has character issues to this guy could be a murderer some day. No one could have predicted this turn of events.

Idk, I've heard people in this thread talk of how teams "hire" cops low key so they can get the drop right away on what's going on. Shooting a guy in the face? Involved with guns even in college? Sounds like some red flags. Maybe they didn't know, but the Patriots organization would seem like the kind to be on top of these things. They may not have known he would become a murderer, but with everything else, they clearly had an idea of what kinda dude he was.

They could've known about all that stuff about Hernandez. They drafted him because they thought he'd help them win games. They weren't wrong.
