I think if DQ went to an AFC team instead of the NFC East
rival they might let him go.

I wouldn't though. He is a valuable asset to the Corners and
Secondary. He does not teach scheme only technique.
He could work with any DC they bring in. I am sure Jerry is
going to try to make him happy.

Wil McClay is really the Dallas GM. He never wants to leave
because Jerry pays him like a GM. No salary cap for coach's

You never know though..

Commanders could turn around quickly. They have to nail this
draft though. Seems like they are in the same boat as the Bears.

They could draft a QB and keep Howell as the starter.

This draft will have a lot of intrigue.

If I'm Washington, I don't see the logic of leaking stuff like this because it's makes you look bad saying that you couldn't get your top choices because you either got out-bid or didn't want to pay Johnson. I don't see how getting out-bid is a problem for new owner Josh Harris. Both Doc Rivers and Morey got $8M+ salaries with the Sixers and I'm sure Nick Nurse is getting that or money. If you paid $6B for the team, I wouldn't want to believe that getting outbid a few million would miss out on 2nd choice.

Wonder where Eric Bieniemy ends up? Statically, most categories are bottom 10. But, that OL was terrible. There were games that Sam Howell looked like a capable NFL QB. Not too many OC spots left, so he might just end up as an assistant coach somewhere

I can agree with that. It's almost like his time is passing him. I didn't think Washington was the best situation last year. Yes, he was finally able to call plays full time. But, on a bad team with a stop gap QB and terrible OL. The best outcome would've been either exceeding expectations or Rivera getting fired in season and Eric getting the interim tag.

So I guess Washington swooped in and offered Kingsbury more money? He's reported as the top candidate for the Commanders OC job now.

Also speaking on this, Kingsbury was also a strong initial candidate for the Eagles before they landed on Moore and the beat writers said that the interview went well. I think with Kingsbury's being a former HC, he might have wanted some autonomy that the Raiders and Eagles weren't willing to accept
