Re: 2024 Offseason Thread
Eagles generally cast a very wide net when it comes to coaching searches. For example, they might interview Ron Rivera for DC. Eagles problems won't change unless they hire an OC and allow him to run his own offense. I felt the OC Brian Johnson was a scapegoat. At the end of the day, it was Sirrani's offense. It worked with Steichen because they had a pervious working relationship built on trust and Steichen had a better feel for playcalling. It was obvious at times Sirrani didn't have full trust in Johnson. Eagles were too reliant on being RPO heavy and being dead last in being under center, motion rate, and roll out rate. I don't have a specific target for OC, but it can't be Sirrani's offense. There's a reason he gave up playcalling in year 1 and it got better. He has to let his ego go in this situation and focus on being a CEO coach
Just like on defense, if it's another coach that runs a Fangio defense, the same problems will arise. I still feel that Patricia was a disaster hiring from the start and should've let Desai finish the season out.Comment

He was going to be the DC last year. But, I think the Gannon-Arizona situation changed things. It makes sense since they went after Desai who runs Fangio defense.Comment

Re: 2024 Offseason Thread
When Desai was DC in Chicago running a 3-4. Philly wasn't necessarily 4-3. They ran more of a multiple front. They ran a lot of 5-2 in base, Reddick was listed as a Rush LB. They had a lot of fronts with 3 DTs
I can see Philly making a full switch to 3-4. Philly has the personnel in the DL and outside LBs to run a 3-4. Reddick, Graham, Sweat, and Nolan Smith can be 3-4 OLBs. They just don't have the inside LBs to run a 3-4.Comment

Re: 2024 Offseason Thread
Yeah, I like the move as well. It's a move that Harbaugh couldn't pass up. If he truly wanted to go to NFL, there really isn't a better situation to walk into. It's almost like when Urban Meyer going to Jaguars. Going into a situation where you have a QB you can believe can be a game changer, with the ability to pair with a GM with familiarity, and talent to not be a full on rebuild
He'll likely bring along his Michigan DC Minter with him. Minter interviewed for the Eagles DC job last year. I wonder how his offensive philosophy might change. He's more of a old school run first offense with good defense. But with Herbert and the weapons, he'll have to willing to at least be balancedComment

Re: 2024 Offseason Thread
The interesting thing about their potential offense is they denied the Bears permission to interview Kellen Moore for their OC job, so maybe Harbaugh made it known he’d keep Moore if he gets the job. Moore is the last guy I’d expect Harbaugh to pick as his OC.Comment
