I am the biggest Peppers-lover out there but goodness how often does he stay in 1st gear? If he f'n gave it all he had every play he would be remembered as one of the great ones.

I'm still hopeful he gets 20 sacks this season!!!

If he gets 20 sacks this season he'll be the highest paid DE next year and Carolina more than likely won't be able to re-sign him, hell - I can easily see him being the highest paid DE next year regardless. I'd take a 10-12 sack season, but I'm not sure he has it in him anymore.

Time to get this rolling again. Panthers looked mighty good last weekend. I have no idea what's going on w/Peppers. Zero contributions last year. This year, he's throwing Chris Samuels into the QB....I think the Steve Smith suspension will actually work out. This team has some playmakers now. Jarrett seems ready to make a contribution. & now there are 2 players who can break it long in the backfield....This group of LB's look like their best group since the Salt & Pepper days.

They did look good, but I still dont put much stock in preseason.

Any thoughts on the cuts? Im surprised they let go of Toefield and are going with only williams, stewart, goings, and hoover as RBs. I thought Holt and Evan Mathis would stay too. I also saw coclough making the squad before getting arrested.

From what I heard, Coclough was teetering on the fence before his arrest. The arrest probably pushed him over. They probably kept Goings & Hoover because of their ability to play ST's.

I didn't get why they would trade for McCown. Seems like the waiver wire would have brought a body to be 3rd string QB.

He'll probably get most of the snaps when they throw. They like the other TE's better for run blocking from what I understand.

King is a good blocker, but Rosario is a heck of a receiver. This team could be really good when Steve Smith gets back from his injury.

Now let's hope Jake doesn't have a season-ending injury again this year, though Matt Moore impressed me in the final game of last season and was certainly better than Testreverte (sp?) or Carr.

I think moore has a broken bone somewhere. I forgot what it was. That's why they traded for McCown.

I think its good in terms of keeping both of them fresh, although I expect that as the year goes on Stewart will see a greater percentage.
