I say depth chart is McGhee/Ball/Moreno/Hillman/Johnson. But saying that you wouldn't cut Hillman and I think Ball is a lock to make 53 man roster. So I don't know just still have a feeling Moreno is odd man out.

I just don't know if they cut him, though. Carrying 4 RB's and a FB is a lot. Any possibility that they cut Gronkowski and keep 4 RB's?

Moreno is tough to figure. You see things like what he did on Sunday and think, 'This is what we've been waiting for'. But he's pretty one dimensional. He can't run through the tackles, and he doesn't play special teams. He is great in open space.

It will be interesting to see how much he gets used on Thursday.

IMO Johnson is the odd man out. Moreno took consistent 2nd team reps. My guess is this season will be Moreno's last chance. If he stays healthy, he's fine.

And they already cut Sylvester, a FB, so I doubt Gronkowski gets cut.

I agree about Gronk he is safe. And we will see Friday but if he does make the cut this is it for him. Make or break season.

The way the NFL is going, Gronk may not be safe. Denver could use one of their TE's as a blocking back, which has the added benefit of being a receiver as well (ala what NE is doing with Gronkowski and Hernandez). More options that result in better match-ups. FB's in the truest sense are becoming exstinct in the NFL.

Denver carried 3 RB's and 1 FB last year. Maybe they stick with that. If they do, Moreno is probably gone. I am just having a hard time seeing them letting him go at this point.

I don't see a TE we'd use. Not Tamme or Dreesen. Virgil Green is suspended. Julius Thomas is still green, can't trust him back there blocking for Manning.

That being said, I won't be surprised to see Julius Thomas or Green cut. Thomas should've never been drafted.

                Re: Official Denver Broncos Thread

I am just throwing stuff out there for conversation. There are only so many roster spots. They have a plethora of TE's as well.

Would you rather see them keep Moreno or Gronkowski? If Denver is planning on using a lot of 21 and 22 personnel, Gronkowski is a no-brainer. If not, I can see them letting him go. Trying to figure out what they might do is fun, but next to impossible. We don't really see anything that they work on, and they sure as hell aren't going to tip their hand in preseason.

Depth really concerns me on this team. I really see them going through everyone elses garbage once final cuts are made.

I really don't see the need for a FB. I'm sure there's a position with enough extra guys to cut a few. They have 4 QBs, and I think a decent amount of DBs.

Jonsco, What's the ole saying one mans trash is another mans treasure.

I think there will be some surprise cuts come Friday. Maybe some treasures out there.

                      That's my thinking exactly.

There are always eyebrow raising cuts throughout the league. The problem is where Denver is sitting on the waiver wire. Hopefully they don't miss out.

That's tough to say. I agree to some point, but having a good FB on those short yardage plays can make all the difference in the world. I was just throwing out ways Denver could keep Moreno. I don't even know if I want that...

Denver will probably keep 10 to 11 defensive backs, especially with the teams that they have to face this year.

As I watch, I can see what Moreno can still be. As I watch him run, this game, he looks good. Decisive, quick, and strong. He can catch and run, too. For me, his only issue is if he can stay on the field. If he can, I can see him producing.

Some reporter from Denver commented today that Moreno has nothing to worry about despite what Adam Schefter was reporting.

It's tough. I think Moreno could be a 1,300 yard back. I think the hardest decision is cutting a guy who has the talent and desire, but is injury-prone.

                              Surprise cut could be Hanie.

I think it is Hanie who goes. They won't cut Osweiler and they are high on Weber.

Back to Moreno he could be but can't stay healthy. So I don't see a 1300 yard season in his future.
