who cares, they workout guys every tuesday. russell happened to be one of those guys this week. so now i guess the speculation is they will cut mcnabb over the bye and sign russell to start against philly? it is a workout, not even a tryout, a workout. you have to do your due diligence in this league, that is all it is. relax guys...

No its that serious. I dont think anyone thinks McNabb will be cut, but to bring in a type of player like Russell, even for just a workout, is a terrible move for the whole organization. Just sends ALL the wrong signals. You dont want a player like Russell on a rebuilding team like this. Russel is the joke of the league entering Ryan Leaf bust status.

Edit: JP Losman isnt close to the same. Russell is a guy with character issues who has proven to be lazy and just a bad QB. Losman is just a bad QB. There is a HUGE difference there and I cant believe you guys arent seeing that.

I know and Im not sure he would help, but Carter is having a terrible year. He left San Fran after they went to the 3-4. He knows it doesn't suit his skills.

Well, he's rarely played LB as of late. They've used him at DE a lot lately in passing situations. They've ran more 4-3 than people have realized. Heck, he doesn't even start anymore. I'd rather have Lorenzo than noodle-kneed Merriman.
