Feel that Hasselbeck should be on the bench and a younger QB should take over the starting QB role.

Hasselbeck is way over the hill now and not doing well. If he continues in the starter role, he is taking experience away from the young QBs.

It would be fine if the Seahawks are championship contenders but they are in rebuilding mode and so it is preferable to give a young QB experience.

What do you all think the new uniforms will look like?

I personally would love to see something retro, yet modern. Maybe a silver helmet with blue face mask and the newer "aggressive" Hawk on the sides.

I don't know....I do love the current uniforms so much....be hard to get a better look than that.

But please....retire the radioactive green jerseys!

I'd love a retro styling myself, but with Nike at the helm I'm fearing for the worst.

Nike is not known for classy looking uniforms.

I just pray that we don't end up looking like the Oregon Ducks.

I have heard rumor that there might be feathers on the new Seahawks helmets. Ugh.

I was excited about the new unis when we updated them (and the token fan vote for silver or blue helmets, remember?)...but I'm actually kind of dreading these Nike uniforms and the Ducks unis have a lot to with that.

Yeah...I hear you. I thought that was pretty cool when they did the fan voting.

Well, if they go the way of the Ducks....at least it isn't a long wait until they change the uniform again....we will just have to wait until the next game!


So...what are you guys thinking about a quarterback?

Do we try to go up the draft and get one of these young studs, or do we go after a guy like Matt Flynn? Personally, I like the idea of going after Flynn. He is a UFA, so the only thing you lose if he doesn't work out is $$$. You won't be in a situation like Arizona is with Kolb because you won't give away picks and starters. In addition....this team doesn't have a lot of huge needs besides QB. So suddenly you enter the draft with the ability to draft for depth and strength rather than filling holes.

And....we all know how the last backup QB from Green Bay worked out here.....

I have a lot of trust in Pete and John to address the QB situation, based on what they've done so far. Love these guys and the way they can find talent.

Luck and probably RGIII won't be happening for us, and I don't see us being bad enough to land Barkley next year. So I think they find a QB from the 3rd round down. They might go after Flynn....if I could have a say I'd sign Flynn AND get a good prospect from the 3rd down. I think this increases our chances of coming up with a QB solution between Flynn, the draft pick, and Portis.

And like you said, Flynn is a lower risk proposition than something like the Kolb deal.

I am not that big on RGIII.

I keep hearing talk of Ryan Tannehill, though I don't know anything about the guy. I also hear people on Sports radio and their pipe dream of getting Peyton into a Seahawks uniform. I hope that never happens. As great as Peyton is, was, whatever....we would be in exactly the same position we were with Hasselbeck last year. Do we bank on an aged star hoping he can get his legs under him for 16 games in addition to 3+ playoff games, or go young? I think we already got the managements answer when they let Matt walk.

Yep, always a nice bonus when a player can come back as a coach.

Though when I saw this news at seahawks.net, the first thing that flashed thru my mind was him going down in SB XL and Pruitt coming in for him and struggling mightily. (sigh) Anyway, don't get me going on XL because it'll undo all my therapy, LOL.

Looks like the Hawks are close to coming to terms with Marshawn Lynch.

Rumor is a 4 year deal is on the table. Amounts were not mentioned

Well...looks like ole Leroy smoked himself off the team. Nothing official yet, but I can't imagine the Seahawks resign him after his 3rd arrest.
