I just think a team like Philly would be that desperate after what's gone on during this first round that they'd gladly ignore the bad parts of Luongo's history in the playoffs, and not that the Canucks don't have a good group of blueliners surrounding him, but Philly would be a great setup for him (on the ice that is).

And again this is another theoretical situation. Philly could end up beating Buffalo and making another deep playoff run for all we know.

You know as well as I do that the media scrutiny and the fans are going to make that nearly impossible. I kinda think the best thing to happen to the Canucks should they lose on Tuesday is to miss the playoffs altogether next year and get in the following year as a 3/4 seed.

Course, that's not likely to happen but personally I think it would be best.

I wonder if some fans would advocate breaking up the Sedins?

Yeah, like B&G said, missing the playoffs would potentially be very detrimental to the Canucks' progress as a team, considering, like you mentioned, there will probably be some call to to something stupid and drastic even if they lose Tuesday. If they miss all together last year it just might validate these calls in the eyes of more than a crazy few.

Don't want him, don't need him, don't want to trade away the whole team for him and that stupid contract.

You've got to ride him. You made that decision when you signed him forever. Stop playing Chicago and you'll probably be fine. The Blackhawks are in their heads, plain and simple.

This could all go away Wednesday morning, though. Slay the dragon then go on to win the Cup. There's still a potential happy ending here. But no one is thinking that. It's Doom's Day already as far as they're concerned. They'll make it over the hump eventually or it simply was not meant to be. Luongo needs to man up, straight up.

Phew! That was a great game. I'm still not sure how Chicago managed to win that game. Vancouver totally outplayed them and still couldn't get the win. Chicago never had the lead except when they won in OT.

The United Center was rocking and there were a lot of nervous people in there watching Vancouver have control of the puck for most of the game.

Congrats to Frolik on netting the first penalty shot goal in Chicago history.

There was finally a Hossa sighting and he came through big time keeping control of the puck while weaving through a couple guys on that final sequence. Ben Smith was in the right place at the right time.

Bolland and Bickell had a couple of great checks and also scored goals.

Man I don't know what to think about game 7 but the pressure is squarely on Vancouver's shoulders. We'll see if they can conquer their kryptonite on Tuesday night.

This series went from a laugher to a 1 game elimination. I love playoff hockey.

I think i aged 10 years watching that overtime. Vancouver had alot of shots in overtime, but thank god for Corey Crawford for saving all of those. I didnt think we had a shot after being down three games to zip. Game 7 Tuesday i love playoff hockey.

So just thinking outside the box here from the Canucks perspective but their backs are against the wall why not try something crazy in game 7.

Ever since Bolland returned his line has pretty much shut down the Sedin's, obviously he can only be on the ice so much.

Why not split the twins up just for one game? Put Henrik with a couple scorers like Samuelson and Burrows, then Daniel with Kesler and Raymond. (Only using those line combos purely hypothetically, no idea who would honestly be paired with who, the idea of splitting them is all I'm really trying to get across)

Obviously I would never recommend splitting them up long term, but for a one game do or die why not? Bollands line can only try to shut one of those lines down, then you still have a twin with some other weapons on another line that can hopefully break out.

Bottomline they need to try something different, this is crazy but could be crazy enough to work. If they continue on as they have the past three games you have to feel good as a Blackhawks fan, your team has nothing to lose, they are the 8th seed they got behind 3-0 in the series and have fought back to force game 7, if you lose oh well you pushed the top seed to the limit, if you win though that is one of the greatest comebacks in sports history and on the flip side one of the biggest meltdowns in sports history for Vancouver.

I can't believe we are going to round 2. The feeling at the arena this afternoon was magical. I know for some teams, advancing through the 1st round isn't that big of a deal... but we were celebrating like we had just won the Stanley Cup or something. No idea what happens next, but I hope the Sharks-Kings series goes 7 games so we can enjoy this one a few days longer.

Tough game for Buffalo to lose today. And we lose Connolly to a dirty ***, suspendable hit by Richards. Admittedly Connolly hasn't done anything this playoffs, but still. At least we're expected to get Roy back for Game 7. Who knows exactly what kind of shape he's in, but at least he could put the puck in net.

Weak goal in OT, but I'm not shocked. Philly's been getting some squeakers. We have been too.

Not a fan of Kaleta talking **** to Briere and Hartnell. Shut the **** up, kid.

Anyway, on to Game 7. Just win it, dammit.

I seriously laughed when I found out Leighton was starting again...the guy is a joke of an NHL goalie, he's a HUGE reason why we lost the Stanley Cup last year, and the easy goals he gave up tonight made him look like a high school kid was in net. I don't understand Lavy/Holmgren's blind allegiance to him. I also don't understand why they scratched Bobrovsky after one bad period.

I'm going to punch a baby rhino if Leighton even dresses for Game 7.
