I seriously laughed when I found out Leighton was starting again...the guy is a joke of an NHL goalie, he's a HUGE reason why we lost the Stanley Cup last year, and the easy goals he gave up tonight made him look like a high school kid was in net. I don't understand Lavy/Holmgren's blind allegiance to him. I also don't understand why they scratched Bobrovsky after one bad period.

I'm going to punch a baby rhino if Leighton even dresses for Game 7.

I'm hoping if/when the Coyotes move, we'll go after Bryzgalov, as he's made it very clear that he wants no part of Winnipeg.

And we lose Connolly to a dirty ***, suspendable hit by Richards.

You're probably right, but I don't think he gets the suspension. Boarding penalties are inherently dangerous, but they're not always malicious (a la the elbows to the head).

You pretty much can't hit Connolly in that situation, that perfect amount of space between him and the boards. Richards definitely got caught up in the moment and gave him a nice shove.

I know it's got to be hard as hell to hold back there. Game 6, tie game (or we were down 4-3, I forget at that point), back against the wall, all the **** that's happened with the goalie... hell, I can't hold back from making that hit in NHL 11, I can't imagine the real thing.

I thought Connolly would be alright. I thought he curled up enough that he hit his upper back moreso then his neck straight into the boards. Ughhh, that whole situation is such a nightmare. They really need to figure out something with the boarding calls. Perhaps make them automatic suspensions because guys simply are not shying away from making that hit.

Anyway, I agree that Leighton shouldn't dress. Should be Boucher or Bobrovski. Bob is really getting shafted to go from upstart young goalie who helped take the team to the #2 seed to now not even putting on the jersey.

Lavvy has gone on instinct and experience and sat Bob possibly because he saw something was lost after his soft performance, but maybe to make him work harder for next year. Even before it was announced, Leighton couldn't be a consideration for 7.

And I wouldn't blame the league one iota if they suspended Richards for 1 game after looking at it again. Playing with Richards/Carter would be a big mountain to climb, but then again look at what the Pens and Habs are doing.

I'd say Tim Thomas pretty much locked up the Vezina with Rinne having some bad games in the Ducks series and Luongo pulling his usual playoff choke job.

Amazing day of hockey yesterday. All three games were awesome.

I'm rooting for the Kings and Blackhawks now so Nashville can host a series in round 2.

I'd say Tim Thomas pretty much locked up the Vezina with Rinne having some bad games in the Ducks series and Luongo pulling his usual playoff choke job.

Amazing day of hockey yesterday. All three games were awesome.

I'm rooting for the Kings and Blackhawks now so Nashville can host a series in round 2.

Playoff Games are not considered for end of season awards.

I'm surprised by the Flyers resiliency on Friday and Sunday.

Richards isn't getting suspended- Flyers would have heard something by now from the NHL. According to Miller reflecting on Richards previous comments on getting killed out there, Richards is a mass murderer....that's pretty funny.

Game 7 should be a good one.......Leighton should not be a consideration...Start Bouch...probably won't matter if gets runned out of there although the way both teams protect leads it might come into play...and home ice means nothing. Game is a coin toss.

Gotta love the way Ennis plays even if he's killing the Flyers- and JVR is a man-child.

Hope the Flyers trade Carter for a goalie in the off season......since we have no picks to work with.

As in the NFL, NBA, and MLB, all NHL awards (with the exception of the Conn Smythe) are voted on before the playoffs start.

I'm with you on Ennis. He's noticeably one of the best Buffalo players out there. With his 63 number, I almost mistook him for Maxim Afinogenov (61). Some serious skating speed & ability.

Same thing for JVR. I'm so glad he's blossoming at the right time. Seems to score some pretty freakin' big playoff goals, too. Got the BOS Game 7 rally start last year, Game 5 rally started, and a goal yesterday, right? And he's using his large frame perfectly. Plus, he's an American... I love Canadians but it's almost like he's the hometown kid with how few Americans there are in the NHL these days.

I hope to God they'd give up Carter over JVR if we trade for a big name goalie. JVR's got the higher ceiling and that seems funny considering Carter potted 46 goals just 2 seasons ago. I think he's just too streaky and I think JVR is something special. Speaking of trading for a big name goalie, who do you even go for, anyway? You ain't gonna get a playoff proven goalie, and that's what we need. There are only a few of them out there, anyway. It'd have to be a guy like Dwayne Roloson or something... and is that even better then Boucher or Bobrovsky? I just don't think so. I'm fine with rolling with Boucher for these playoffs, but Bobrovsky is the future of this team until proven otherwise. He carried the load this season for a reason, he earned it and he really earned another shot in the playoffs but Boucher kind of took it from him.

If your team goes up 3-0 in game 7, only to end up losing, you'll feel exactly how I felt last year.

Only difference is that van is actually a good team compared to the Bruins last year.
