That's always the concern at this point lol, he seems to want any reason to be a buyer, but also if he screws up again and we can bring Stevie Y back somehow, that works too

I like that the Rangers are "rebuilding" and they're still playing hard and oh would you look at that actually winning a decent amount of games.

And the Wild are just killing it. 6-2 tonight over fellow "surprise" Vancouver.

Maj, are you able to delete the poll at the top? It's really annoying to scroll past for every new page.

The Rangers happened to be in the right place to do a "rebuild" where they did not have to tear everything down to the studs. They had a relatively young forward corps to begin with and moved on some assets before they devalued. They just swapped Spooner for Strome with the Oilers, and will probably move Zuccarello and Hayes at the deadline. They open up a good amount of cap space and will try to be a player in FA next season and begin a playoff push in earnest.

That being said I agree with you in general. While sometimes teams do need to do a complete purge, it seems like many teams that go through that process take much longer than expected to come out of it or never really come out of it at all. For every Toronto, you get a Buffalo and an Edmonton it seems.

People thought the Wild would be bad? I guess this is why I don't read any mainstream hockey stuff.

No one thought the Wild would be bad, but like I said before. They're just the same, ho hum, not gonna do anything in the playoffs squad we've seen for like a decade. Not good enough to win, not bad enough to draft a franchise player. Fan purgatory.

I know the Pens typically don’t wake up until January, but I’m starting to get concerned. They’ve been awful since their Canada trip.

Another one bites the dust. Mike Yeo out, Craig Berube taking over as the interim coach. Favorite for the long term coach of the Blues is a reunion with Joel Quenneville.

That division is interesting. Rangers definitely playing above expectations at this point, so we'll see how long they can keep that up.

Todd McLellan's services are available. Wings' special teams haven't been the same since he left to San Jose. Just sayin'....

Not really surprised about Yeo, but as far as the current season is going he isn't the biggest issue. 91 has gotta start scoring some goals.

Don't care what people say, NHL should have all-Canadian matchups Thanksgiving night.

Looks like Nylander saga could finally be over soon?!

6.9M is good, and because of the lateness of the signing, the hit might be more like 6.5-6.7M.

It's awesome to see HNIC break out the old baby blue blazers again and it will go to a good cause as the blazers (and Cherry's old school HNIC themed outfit) are up for auction against cancer.

Leafs win 6-0 thanks to a 1st period hat trick from their top Swede. Andreas Johnsson of course.

Crazy realizing Leafs are where they are without a full lineup for even a single game. This time next week they could be at 100%!

I know it's early, but so far the answer to the question "who wins the Atlantic? Toronto, Tampa or Boston?" is Buffalo lol. And 4th in Atlantic is better than 1st in metro. Thanks NHL playoff format.......

The old hnic logo looked nice too. It's one thing seeing it in an image, but redone in modern hd graphics looked nice.

And those jackets was a nice change from the generic suits almost every broadcaster has. There's things from hnic history people today could learn from.

Side note, last time a Leaf had a 1st period hat trick was when Hodge introduced MacLean to HNIC. Today, Ron brought him back for the retro night.
