I find this reactive AI in season mode not to be challenging but cheezy and the last straw in what made me return the game . If I shoot the lights out in 1 round with a 61 and find the AI golfers shooting mid 50's to keep up with me and the same with bad rounds I find it very unsatisfying. Instead of doing stupid tricks like that to give the impression of a challenging AI make it harder so you can't be hitting low 60"s and high 50"s every round and keep the challenge on the course like real golf.

But you are right, a more realistic game would be a better alternative to the cheesy scoring, but TW has never been about realism, it's been about a fun game of golf. To me, having competition no matter how good I do is fun, you obviously see it differently though.
This is the first year I have given any real time to the PGA Season and that is solely due to this scoring system. Previous years it was always multiplayer or Legend mode, but this year I haven't barely touched Rivals mode due to the PGA season and multiplayer. Usually I would have almost completed the match play events in Rivals/Legends mode.Comment

You will always see some ronuds in the 50s in a TW game as long as EA is making it. The only reason I enjoy it is because it is better than the alternative which is seen in previous versions of the game which just has the human player blow away the rest of the field by 20 strokes. Given the choice between winning by 20 every tournament and finding myself in a close race at 50 under par, I would rather be in a close race, no matter how cheesy the scoring it.

It is a pleasent surprise this year that they came up with a gimmick(and, yes, it is a gimmick) to make the PGA Season playable.Comment

Re: Console: Tiger Woods Impressions Thread
i was at Circuit City looking at getting either Forza Motorsport or Tiger Woods '06. i know, i know big gap in type of sport, but i have heard great things about Forza, and a few promising things about TW '06. well, i got TW '06.....and now i am pissed i passed on Forza. this game is is just not that great....it's too easy, it can be trying at times, but for the most part, it's just too one dimensional. $50.00 down the drain....i should have rented it first. i may give it a few more hours...we'll see...or i may just trade it in for ForzaGO CUBS
