OMG ,WHAT A JOKE!!!
The cpu players on here are god. they are averaging 10 under each round...CONSISTENTLY. the guy in last place is like 15 under or something after 3 days. I am like 24 under and tied for like 23rd PLACE!!!! wtf?!?!?!?!?!?!? everybody is amazing. is there some sort of setting or something i can change... i dont want to go to a lower level..idkTags: None -
Re: OMG ,WHAT A JOKE!!!
seriously though, it ruins the fun when i need to shoot like 11 birdies and no bogeys to win.....4 rounds of that just doesnt happen....i actually broke the course records for GIR, FIR, and birdies but still am in like 23rd place....how does EA possibly think that this is acceptable....does anybody know if it is like this on all the skill levels or if there is a good fair skill level to play on?
I just finished the 4 day tourney with a 30 UNDER. TIGER SHOT 40 UNDER he shot 60 every round. Now TELL ME IN WHAT WORLD DOES ANYBODY SHOOT 4 60s IN A TOURNAMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????? EA IS SOOOO AWFUL!!!!!!!! EVERY GAME THEY MAKE HAS HUGE ISSUES, not little ones like other games........holy crap the AI is amazing!!!!!!!!Comment

And tell me who in the world shoots 30 under? Listen to yourself, geez. So you've got a great challenge on your hands. Be happy about it.Comment

Re: OMG ,WHAT A JOKE!!!
I agree with this...
As mentioned above, the REAL question is who in the hell shoots 40-50 under par in a 4 day tournament? THAT is what's ridiculous! It's ridiculous that the CPU shoots that and it RIDICULOUS that YOU shot that.
Most major championships finish with golfer shooting anywhere from -6 to -15.....to accomplish this, EA is going to need to make the courses play more difficult for BOTH the CPU and the User.
Personally, I like the new Tiger Woods but I can certainly see where everyone is coming from. I would tell you to go play it on Tour Pro...but then again thats the problem, the Pros will still shoot 40 under par while you struggle just to stay even.Comment

Re: OMG ,WHAT A JOKE!!!
Funny, I have no problem with that. I don't buy games every year -- the last TW console game I purchased was 06. Because of the challenge with this game, it'll keep me happy for the next 2-3 years, no problem.Comment

Re: OMG ,WHAT A JOKE!!!
I think that part of the problem is the ease with which players (CPU and HUM) can hit the fairway off the tee. It's far to easy, and from there it's pretty easy to make a quality approach shot, the sets up a relativly easy birdie or eagle putt.
The you mix in the ease with wich you can recover from the rough and the sand, in the game and you have conditions that make it very easy to go low. It's is to easy to play the ball from bad lies. In the deep rough? Just club up two or three clubs and boom you are on the dance floor looking for birdie. That is the bigger issue for me. There is no penalty for shots played out of the rough and the sand.Moderator

Re: OMG ,WHAT A JOKE!!!
I've got my player skilled and club tuned to the point that I'm averaging a score of 72.6, with 68% FIR and 64% GIR. Maybe that's having some bearing on the way the AI's are playing? They certainly don't seem to be responding to anything I'm doing. I just wonder if it gets to the point where I'm threatening for the lead, they're scoring will change? I thought 09 was pretty reasonable in season tournament play also, but there again, I didn't shoot lights out, even though I wound up 3rd place, in the one season I did play to completion.Duke Football? Re: OMG ,WHAT A JOKE!!!
yeah its wild but competitive...it makes it more on you to make good shots cuz one slip up and you will lose the tourney. yeah the scores are outrageous but isnt it better than you running away by 20 strokes and worrying more about trying to break every tourney record. Now your just worried about winning.Comeback can happen...thanks to EA Sports!Comment

Re: OMG ,WHAT A JOKE!!!
I'm reading a variety of opinions on this. In my case, I've completed two season tournaments in Tour Pro. The winner was -28 in the first one, and -21 in the second one. Overall, I thought the scores were definitely lower than the PGA average, but not out of the realm of possibility. 40 under is a different story!Comment

I can't keep my driver straight now, so I often drop down to a fairway wood off the tee, depending on the hole.

Re: OMG ,WHAT A JOKE!!!
Video Gamers are very interesting people. They complain that doing certain things in the game are too hard (hitting straight shots in 08) they correct this issue and now it is a lot easier to hit straight shots now in 10. And guess what....People now complain about it's too easy hitting straight shots.
And now I see people are complaining that it's too hard to win tournaments. Just play the game and realize it is a video game. EVERY game has it's issues, so it is to be expected. Just get better at the game and try to have some fun.Comment
