there is something to be said about the fact that you can even conceivably shoot a 58 on Tour Pro difficulty at Pebble Beach within a couple weeks of owning the game. And shooting -33 for a tournament on Tour Pro pretty much means that the game is probably too easy in general.

I could keep my expert clubs tuned way up, play on Tour level and shoot -8 every round, no question. So the crazy-low CPU scores have been programmed into the game for that reason: to make the game challenging for those who play the game that way. Not that it makes a lot of sense, seeing the logical thing would be to have an adjustable CPU scoring slider. But EA takes a ton of shortcuts with this game. The TW series is a typical EA game -- simplified gameplay along with next-to-no customization options. And anybody who is surprised/shocked/upset with that, hasn't been purchasing EA's sports games the past decade, lol.

Although given the limitations of the analog stick mechanic I suppose there's not much that can be done about this short of tuning your clubs to make things as touchy as possible, and that probably wouldn't even be fun.

I truly believe that this is a major issue with the 360/PS3 versions....how far do you go with the swing sensitivity? TW08 was patched to reduce the swing sensitivity after community feedback suggested it was too penal. I believe a better answer might be to keep the swing sensitivity of 08 and allow users to use Club Tuner to dial back the sensitivity and reduce their distances as a result. This is what I am doing now as Expert clubs make it terribly difficult to hit the fairway with any consistency so I diled back to Advanced clubs taking a hit on distances, but being better able to hit straighter....

Ya know. For someone who seems to hate every single sports game be it EA or 2k or at least usually has more negative to say about any game rather than positive. why bother?
