It's awsome! It clearly takes a more sim approach than the console version of TW.

The graphics are simply stunning! Ducks in ponds, birds flying over, ocean side effects, rain, etc.

Less courses than TW, but downloadable courses, players, etc. are on the way through Xbox Live.

I'm still on the rookie tours in my career, but I've advanced all the way to some skins games.

I love this game and not even a huge golfer in real life.

Can't wait to jump in some tournaments through XSN.

I'm enjoying it too after picking up a copy at Gamestop (What the hell is wrong with EB lately? They always seem late...). Only downside in my book is commentary. It's pretty bad. Other than that I like being able to play golf without listening to grunge music...and I like grunge...

Klocker said it very well above....definitely a more "sim" approach to golf than weve had before.....looks beautiful, mi****s are easy to come by, wind has a HUGE effect, balls rolls truer....i havent messed around with draws and fades as yet (but ive hit some accidentally LOL)....the single hardest thing to get a feel for is the putting, DAMN, that is hard (which is good).....i played 1 round on beginner just to check out the game, then went straight to advanced....so far ive played 2 rounds and my avg. score under career stats is 94....a f***** 94 LOL....granted, a lot of that will be cleaned up simply by learning to putt....but scoring is much harder to come by than im used to.....all in all, im very happy with this game...now i just need to find the money to upgrade to broadband and XBL

I'm very impressed with this game so far. I agree with the above post in that the putting is excellent. I like that they give you a guiding bar that gradually fades out which obviously makes it difficult on the long putts. And, unlike Tiger, you actually control the power of the putt which increases the difficulty of the shot. If you are not careful you can easily three putt a hole but that's real golf.

At first I was a little weary of the game since I started on beginner and with closest tee-offs and easy pin placement and was 10 under for the round. It didn't help that I scored 5 under on intermediate the next round but I forgot to change the tee-offs and pin placements. When I changed that to championship and hard pins it was a totally different game. I played nine holes and was +6. I was +4 after the first hole! It's strange but I felt a sense of accomplishment when I got a birdie or even par.

I tried advanced but I don't think that I'm ready for that yet since I still don't have a feel for the shot distances with certain clubs.

I hopped online last night quickly just to check things out and I did notice something interesting in the online options. It seems that you can have players voices coming through the TV instead of the headset. Has anybody tried this yet?

I got to play the tutorial and a few single rounds. First thing i did, by the recommendations of others, is to turn the commentary off. I gotta say i am really liking this game so far. Its difficult enough so that it appears that you wont be hitting 50's in a few weeks, yet when you do get a birdie or eagle, you feel freakin great at the accomplishment.

Putting is hard, but not frustrating. Custom soundtracks actually work pretty good here. I thought that playing with music on that it would distract, but not the case.

Gmae is pretty, and the many options make this one a keeper.

Now i just have to find to play ALL my games.

I set up my profile on Advanced - you can't change your player once you start.

                              - Graphics are pretty nice.
                              - Character creation is weaksauce.
                              - Physics are great - I had a side hill lie, and tried to shoot with no correction, and I ended up slicing the heck out of it.
                              - Putting is an ******* ***** on advanced. The difference between enough and too much .... is small. Very small. Very very small.
                              - Commentary isn't outstanding, but I do like that in tournaments, you'll get commentary telling you how the leaders are doing. Really makes you feel that there's a tournament going on.
                              - Custom Soundtracks are great. Stepping up to the tee with the theme from Halo playing gets ya going ...
                              - Putting
                              - Online play is smooth like silk. Completely lag-free, lots of modes. The Speed Stroke Play is really interesting, and could make for a fun 4 player game.
                              - I was not initially feeling the "addictiveness" that you get in a good (HSG, TW, OG) golf game. But late last night, I dug into the various challenges, and really got hooked.
                              - Did I mention the putting?
