Wondering the same thing...it would be nice to have the CPU if the "fast trail" mode instead of having to watch it. Don't know if Links does it or not?

      Sadly no.

i was hoping the same thing and have NO IDEA why they did not include it.

shame really...you have to watch the CPU player hit but ONLY in Match play.

In a regular Stroke tourney, you play by yourself but are updated by the announcers and on screen about how other players on the leaderboard are doing around you.

Pretty well done actually and makes you fell like you are there.

You even hear cheers go up at holes around you and then a screen pops up and tells you who made a move.

The course is also loaded in total and you can Free roam the whole thing and holes load instantly.

also you see the other holes around you as your ball is flying toward the hole.

            Pleasantly suprised by this game.

I went straight to career mode and went with an advanced golfer.

To me the analog system is done really well with this game, plus it is better looking than I had imagined. The putting is very challenging, which is great! As someone mentioned earlier the feel of putting is the best that I have expereienced. You really need to get a feel for the analog stick to determine how hard you are going to putt the ball.

Also the ball trail is really only about 5ft in front of you, it gives you a good idea of the green but doesn't tell you when you automatically have it lined up. A lot is left up for the players interpretatoin which is great.

I actually really like the crowd noise in the game. The announcer is dull but no big deal. The create a player is plain but nothing that really bothered me, reminded me of Tiger Woods 2003 create a player.

The courses are far better in their replication of an actual golf course with side lies etc...

Early on but for me it beats Tiger Woods (no knock against tiger, just my preference) without question. For true golf enthusiasts that want as close to a golf experience that a Xbox game can provide this is the game. Online play is obviously where this game is really going to stand out.

Look for Macteago OS online. I have tomorrow Friday off so I will be hitting the Links all day.

I was playing a tourney in my career. There was a 3 way tie after 18 and we went to a playoff.
The cool thing was in the playoff, after I hit my tee shot, I got to see the other players play the hole as well. Not much, but at least I get to see what I'm up against rather than playing the hole by myself and hoping I won.
