Honestly, the Twitch stream from that guy in Switzerland or wherever that MrArlingtonBeach posted earlier in this thread was the best footage of the game I've seen so far. The game actually looked pretty decent (graphically) in that stream, and it seemed like it was reasonably difficult (I think the guy ended up +23 or something). I'd like to have seen more of that type of thing earlier. But I guess it doesn't matter since the game will be out in 2 days at this point.

The game actually looked pretty decent (graphically) in that stream, and it seemed like it was reasonably difficult (I think the guy ended up +23 or something). I'd like to have seen more of that type of thing earlier. But I guess it doesn't matter since the game will be out in 2 days at this point.

Not to mention the fact that the guy made it super difficult on himself, removing the swing meter and some other aids that are usually on in Legend difficulty, I believe.

I like the idea that the game itself can be set to such a difficult level...it bodes well for getting a realistic Career Mode, in which you can earn good scores, but can also really set AI and course difficulty to get realistic and challenging outcomes. I used to really be a TGC Tours guy, but the scores on there were even more unrealistic than offline modes. This seems to indicate that you can have a solid offline experience in this game, no matter your skill level.

It does not.

And that is a mistake on their part. Crossplay is one thing that could get gamers to switch to a new game, and someone will come in at some point and pull that off.

It should be a no-brainer in golf if it can be done in a baseball game. They need to lock in crossplay societies, and make their game the place to show up and play pick-up matches with all friends. You get that, and most will settle for whatever they have that passes for career.

May end up double dipping for this one, too. While I still prefer the couch, golf on a PC is like comfort gaming.

I watched these guys play their match last night in Pro-Am difficulty and they were terrible!? To their credit, they didn't use putt previews, so I'll 'em props for that. It was painful to watch, although I did learn a few things about the game as they played. I think the winner finished at 76, while the last place guy shot an 88.

I watched a few of the guys playing on Legend and it ain't for me. Using Master clubs in 2019 you can manipulate the swing speed to the point where you can nearly always hit all but the tightest fairways easily and hit the greens most times. Seems like Pro is the new Master? Looking forward to it.

You gotta be s*'ing me...really? I mean, 90% of the time I guess it's not an issue, but the 10% of the time it is, it's really annoying. I understand they are hosting the courses online etc. but still....the 'always online' era of gaming is a huge annoyance to me.

2019 required a connection to play. This is one of the problems having the courses on the server instead of the hard drive. I was worried about losing the ability to play 2019 and TGC2 once the servers went down but after watching some of the guys playing this game I won't be playing anything but this going forward.

What are the chances sponsors like Nike, Ping, Titlelist get added to the game?

I’m really surprised none of those are in... You would think the huge sponsors would be in... But I’m sure there’s a huge cost as well.

But I paid off my pre-order, can’t wait for tomorrow!!

I could see Ping or Nike, but Titelist has never fully allowed their clubs, balls, etc. in a golf game. They seem notoriously protective of their brand.

Ping was in the EA golf games, as was Nike. And Nike items can be seen on Cameron Champ and Tony Finau in game. So I wouldn't be shocked if they got added.

That's wild...I did just check, and sure enough, you needed to be online to play career mode in TGC2019. Goes to show how much I played that mode...

HB has stated that the game will be backward compatible, and assuming you buy the same company's next gen system (XB1 --> XBX or PS4 --> PS5), I assume the game will be tied to your Microsoft or Playstation account. So in theory, it shouldn't need to be re-purchased, but maybe someone else on here can confirm.
