EA Sports PGA Tour Releases in Spring 2023

One thing I’m really looking forward to is the color palette at Augusta, TW14 unfortunately doesn’t capture it very well as it is a dark game overall.

Aside from the obvious shortcomings of Rory, the thing I've always hated about EA golf games is they are always too dark. 2k is super bright, probably a bit too much, but makes every course look like an absolute paradise on a sunny day. Very crisp and green. I truly hope EA gets the shading and lighting correct. Your point is dead on...watching the pristine beauty of this course this weekend, deep green, bright (when it's been sunny) is exactly what they need to model. Here's hoping.

Definitely brighter, as was 13. But still no where near the ultimate bar. Obviously some hardware limitations too but 09 has really solid lighting too.

It's a bummer that neither EA nor 2K had a single thing to show us of any new games this week.

I would have bet money (and lost) that one of the two, at least, would use the opportunity to pump something -- even if not coming for a while.

I would have bet money (and lost) that one of the two, at least, would use the opportunity to pump something -- even if not coming for a while.

2K has to start up in the next few weeks. I wonder if EA will start marketing in the fall like they said last year before they postponed.

Probably will find out next month for the pga if 2023 major courses are in.

Kind of defeats the purpose of a delay then or, they really had nothing started when they announced last year. Doesn’t make much sense to play major courses from 2 years ago buy the time the game releases. I’m hoping one or two make it in

Eh, It won’t matter a couple seasons into career mode. I think they already have the base of the game done and courses scanned. My guess it they are using Rory 15 as the base since it’s on frostbite as is PGA 23. Obviously with a new swing mechanism and content.

Last summer an EA rep said the game was on the fast track for 2022(obviously a delay happened). Also I recall reading last year they had spent days scanning Augusta(Hoping they go back to get updates). But anyway it won’t matter much as long as they have all of the Rory 15 courses. That would put us at 28 total courses including…

Just crossing fingers for a new engine, but with the course creator I’m doubtful. I’m at the point were I’d rather have a created player on 20+ real courses than 10,000 made up ones.

One thing that would really wow me, is if they somehow were able to get a new engine but let you port your old courses into it this giving them a huge graphics boost. I’m sure it’s next to impossible, but I’d be so excited.

I made my local par 3 on 2k21 and do enjoy it.
